The Haven Realm of Stansu is a mammoth, socially progressive nation, ruled by Sue Können with a fair hand, and remarkable for its daily referendums and devotion to social welfare. The compassionate, democratic population of 6.734 billion Stansui enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.

The large government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Environment, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Fredstad. The average income tax rate is 50.0%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The large but inefficient Stansui economy, worth 244 trillion dalcs a year, is quite specialized and led by the Cheese Exports industry, with major contributions from Tourism, Furniture Restoration, and Soda Sales. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 36,254 dalcs, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Political talk shows often have children as guests whenever they need commentary on world religions, fancy dress parties are raided by military police for new recruits, people can get away with murder these days, and children searching for cat videos must watch dogs in equal proportion. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Stansu's national animal is the dove, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies.

Stansu is ranked 48,975^th in the world and 827^th in the South Pacific for Most Compassionate Citizens, scoring 48.04 on the Kitten Softness Rating.
