First of all, to make the most out of your time in Aesica, you'll want to join the World Assembly (WA) and endorse our World Assembly Delegate Alesina! Endorsing the Delegate helps make Aesica stronger, and means you gain extra powers and automatically become a citizen of Aesica. Click on the button below to find out how!
Head to the World Assembly page and click Apply to Join. You'll get a confirmation email with a link to join the World Assembly! After you're in, head to Alesina's page, scroll to the bottom, and click "Endorse Alesina."

First up, you need have your email on your account. The World Assembly sends a confirmation email to your real life email to join. You can check to make sure your email is correct in Settings, right below where your National Banners are:
Now that your email is done, you can Apply to Join the World Assembly! Head over to the World Assembly's page here, or click on "World Assembly" at the side of your screen:
This is the World Assembly, where every nation gets to vote on new proposals! Click on "Apply to Join":
It should take you to a page that looks like this:
Go to your real life email, and inside you'll have a confirmation email from NationStates, confirming you've been accepted into the WA. Remember, this is your real life email, not telegrams on NationStates!
Click the link in the email to join the World Assembly!
All you need to do is click "Confirm: Join World Assembly" and there you go: welcome to the World Assembly!
Now you can endorse our Delegate! Click on their name Alesina to go to their nation page. Then scroll to the bottom and click "Endorse Alesina". Endorsing Alesina gives you citizenship and helps our region become stronger and safer.
Please remember, you cannot have more than one WA Nation at a time! You can have as many non-WA Nations as you want, but only one can be in the WA. This isn’t an Aesica rule, it’s a NationStates game rule, so be careful!

PREAMBLE Noting the inevitability in a democracy of a transition of power from one Delegate to the next, Believing that it is important to ensure that this process is as peaceful and efficient as possible in order to maintain the strength of Aesican democracy and World Assembly presence,
Congress hereby agrees,
Section I - For the purposes of this bill, hereby defines:
legal Delegate - the citizen who is legally serving as World Assembly Delegate, as according to Aesican law,
serving Delegate - the nation who is mechanically seated as World Assembly Delegate of Aesica, irrespective of whether they are legally holding that position or not,
Delegate Transition Period - the period of time inbetween which the legal Delegate is not the serving Delegate,
Section I - Following the election of a new legal Delegate, the serving Delegate shall cooperate with the legal Delegate to promote the endorsement of the new legal Delegate.
Sub-section I - Notwithstanding the provisions of other legislation, there shall be no restrictions on promoting the endorsement of the legal Delegate through any method during the Delegate Transition Period.
Section II - The serving Delegate is prohibited from resigning from the World Assembly at all times when the legal Delegate is below eighty percent of their endorsements; they may only resign between eighty and ninety percent with the permission of the legal Delegate; they may resign at any time following this.
Section III - It is prohibited to promote unendorsing the serving Delegate until the legal Delegate is within ninety and one hundred percent of the serving Delegate’s endorsements; before this period unendorsing the serving Delegate must be discouraged by the government.
Section IV - Following the election of a new legal Delegate, the government must send a regional telegram to all World Assembly members of Aesica to encourage endorsing the new Delegate.
Sub-section I - The government shall at least at reasonable intervals directly promote the endorsement of the legal Delegate via the usage of Regional Message Board posts, pinging nations not endorsing the Delegate, and/or dispatches that do the same.
Section V - It is prohibited to encourage the endorsement of a nation who is not the legal Delegate or Vice Delegate, without the permission of the government, if that nation is within fifteen percent of the serving Delegate’s endorsements.
Sub-section I - The government may nevertheless encourage the endorsement of all registered Delegate candidates after the close of the Candidacy Declaration Period in a Delegate election in order to begin a potential transition period early, however no other provisions of this law take effect.
Section I - The serving Delegate must only vote in the World Assembly as according to the instructions of the legal Delegate. Prior to receiving an instruction from the legal Delegate on how to vote on any resolution, the serving Delegate shall not cast any vote.
Sub-section I - If the serving Delegate is below the resolution adoption threshold to vote in the General Assembly, the legal Delegate may obligate them to adopt enough resolutions to be eligible to vote in the General Assembly, if they wish.
Section II - The serving Delegate shall not approve any resolutions except as directed to by the legal Delegate.
Section III - If there is no legal Delegate, the serving Delegate must refrain from voting at all in the World Assembly or approving any resolutions, until there is a legal Delegate to instruct them.
Section IV - This article shall not apply to any resolutions which began voting whilst the serving Delegate was in office, but before the legal Delegate was elected; in this case the serving Delegate shall be allowed to retain their vote until the end of the resolution’s voting period, if they wish.
Sub-section I - This section shall only apply if the serving Delegate is the immediate legal predecessor to the legal Delegate, or if there is no legal Delegate and they were the previous citizen to be both the serving Delegate and legal Delegate simultaneously.
Section V - The serving Delegate may not use any other regional officer powers that they hold in their capacity as serving Delegate without the permission of the legal Delegate, and must comply with the legal Delegate’s instructions for usage of these powers; they are not required to use Border Control authority under any circumstances.
Section I - The violation of Article II of this law shall be considered an offence at the level of a Misdemeanour, and shall be punishable in the same manner.
Section II - The violation of Article III of this law shall be considered an offence at the level of a Felony, and shall be punishable in the same manner.
