o to the restroom before being seated, even if you don't need to go. It preps your digestive system to downward elimination, also making your stomach ready to receive. Don't drink the ice water they bring. Do not order soda pop as that will cause gassiness, thus less room for food. If you order plum tea, order a glass of ice on the side, if you only like it well-chilled & add cubes only as you need to, while can make your glass of wine last the whole meal. If you order hot tea only sip every time you start to feel full to not only expand your stomach, but to keep the food in your stomach from becoming a painful brick. If you even consume soup, make sure the amount of liquid is absolutely minimal. I put the crispy noodles in the bowl before the onions then the wontons & the stock on top, just enough to moisten the noodles completely. The noodles soak up the liquid before you eat rather than in your stomach, causing unexpected discomfort. When you feel full. Sit & talk with your companion for awhile. Then excuse yourself to use the restroom. If you do eat ice cream, don't use those little ice cream/fruit cups. Use the soup bowls to fill up on your green tea & pistachio ice cream. Personally, if they have sugarcoated nuts, I put them in the bowl prior to putting in the ice cream. The ice cream will melt the sugar coating & give extra kick to the ice cream & make for a better dessert especially since most buffets don't have any ice cream toppings available. Sit after your ice cream for quite some time chatting, as even if full, you won't be able to get more dessert/ice cream once you leave. Oftentimes, after only 15 minutes, another scoop of ice cream becomes doable as the rest of the food simply absorbs the cream & walking back to the buffet moves everything down the digestive system. cup size serving |
