The Kingdom of Himio is a very large, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its daily referendums and absence of drug laws. The compassionate, democratic population of 324 million Himioans hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

The relatively small, liberal, outspoken government juggles the competing demands of Administration, Welfare, and Education. The average income tax rate is 13.9%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The Himioan economy, worth 14.4 trillion Oiis a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Tourism industry, with significant contributions from Cheese Exports, Book Publishing, and Basket Weaving. State-owned companies are reasonably common. Average income is 44,395 Oiis, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.0 times as much as the poorest.

Big Agriculture has the government by the nuts, referenda can be called for any law at the request of at least one third of the voting population, the government keeps introducing new foreign species to combat the previous ones it has introduced, and harassed women are constantly hassled by guys who are "just giving them compliments". Crime is relatively low. Himio's national animal is the cobra, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Himio is ranked 95,807^th in the world and 2^nd in Kaira for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring 2,428.23 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
