My adventures took me to Patras exactly two years ago, by the end of November.
It's a charming city, beautifully located, from a mountainside to the sea, and is nested between two mighty cliffs that pierce the Ionian Sea. Small rocky isles dot the blue waters in front of the harbour.
From Patras I took the ferry boat to Ancona. 20 hours up the Adriatic. A plane ticket was much cheaper, but as a traveller and an explorer I had all the time in the world. I like to see where I'm going.
That sea voyage brought back memories of my mariner days. The good and the bad.

I read what young Galom was up to in Nudist Dreamland back then.. Boy was he troubled. Barman, an extra strong milk & honey for my dear Dorothy here, please. For providing a sweet, kind, presence, and what seems like a welcome safe space where my past self could express himself.
