_{Secretary of the Interior to Step Down | La Secretaria de Governación se retirará}

The Secretary of the Interior, Abril de la Cruz, has announced that she will be stepping down from the position, effectively immediately. In her announcement, she cited a family emergency that will require her full attention. Secretary De la Cruz was able to get a confirmation to step down from President Leguizamo quickly due to the nature of the request. President Leguizamo has already announced a replacement, Emiliano Miguel Yépez de Herrera, who is currently awaiting confirmation in Congress. Deputy Secretary Aarón Espino Tellez will serve as the Acting Secretary of the Interior until a replacement is confirmed.

Ritz-Castellane Group buys Akorrdana Manis's Londonskaya Hotel

On the 7th of December, officials from the Ritz-Castellane Group approached the Capitol Building of the Akorrdana Manis section of the Government. During their visit of the Captiol, the Ritz-Castellane officials came up to the Department of Tourism within the Ministry of Economics. The Group proposed a daring request: buy the city's famous Londonskaya Hotel. The Londonskaya Hotel is known as the first hotel in Odesa, culturally important for both tourism and overall history of the nation. This offer was baffling to the Department, almost saying no. But the proposition caught the eyes of the Ministry of Economics. On a free road trip, the R-C Officials met the Ministress of Economics and her advisors in Bucharest. The Ministress discussed the proposition with the officials before officially making her statement. On the 8th of December, the Director of Tourism made his statement over the croud of Akorrdana Manis.

"Good day, my people.

Today, me and the Ministress of Economics would like to announce that with the newest arrival of ambassadors from Ritz-Castellane, the Londonskaya Hotel, loved by many, will be purchased by the Hotel Group in efforts to restore the Hotel from its rather rusted form into a refurbished form, preserving its culture and historical importance. The Group hopes to also expand the hotel to allow newer luxuries, such as an outdoor pool and a spa facility. This purchase has been approved by the Ministry of Economics, Department of Tourism, and the Ritz-Castellane group."

Ending off the announcement with a "Thank You," the crowd attending immediately went into wildfire. The Londonskaya has been a symbol of Kaidia's culture and resilience for over a century, and people outraged at the fact that a foreign hotel group wanted to purchase it. And to their horror, they did. But later in the day, the Ministry published the specifics of the deal, making the subject a bit more clearer. In the specifics of the deal, the R-C Group will make renovations to restore the more lost parts of Kaidian culture, and the new amenities at the hotel will be available to all visitors of the hotel (if they pay). The quality of the hotel will be increased to ensure a more comfortable environment, the deal says from R-C's side. In the details, the hotel was bought for $40 million USD, which most believe is an outrageous amount, even for the cultural value of the hotel. Regardless of what anyone says, the hotel is being bought and first steps into renovating it is announced on December 13th.

Presidential hopeful Senator Jack McKenna may have just been sunk this week after it was leaked the Senator, who is a proponent of forced deportations and other restrictive measures has been having a long-term affair with one of his aides. The aide, who has not been named, is reportedly in her 20s and other Congressional aides stated that her career was fast-tracked due to Senator McKenna's large influence. There are also rumors that this aide in not the first such case of the Senator having sexual relations with. The Ministry of the Interior has approved a series of takeover proposals as part of its efforts to privatise Brazilian railway infrastructure and support free, private enterprise.

The Ministry is committed to finding a buyer for the remaining railway franchises, namely FCA Belo Horizonte, and FCA Northeast. Failing that, it intends to complete the sale of the two franchises via an initial public offering on the B3.

Historic deal reached with Strelkovia

In a recent development, the Union has reached a deal with the Government of Slovenia regarding investments in renewable energy projects such as solar and wind farms near the city Ljubljana. Various companies here in the Union that are leading experts in such fields have been contracted by the Federal Government to take charge of the projects while still employing and following all laws in Slovenia. Also reached in agreement at the same time is the leasing of land for a logistics and command base for strategic coordination in the city proper so as to aid in future endeavors. Furthermore, the Defense Department announced that a leasing agreement was reached for a naval base in the Adriatic coast region, with funding for maritime infrastructure and hubs in sectors such as AI advanced defense technology which will complement the small Slovenian Navy and in the Alpine region, investments in eco-tourism, sustainable transport, and winter sports infrastructure could align with a military base designed for training in mountainous and cold-weather operations. The Pentagon has stated that the bases will take a few years to get up to full working ordering but a pier and docks can be built fast enough to begin station elements of a small naval task group and has stated that it will cover all investments in the Alpine region in regards to the sports complexes, transport and other such areas.

Kaiser Approves Wall of Steel
The Kaiser has approved Protocol 'Wall of Steel'. While most details are classified, there are some known details of the protocol. Its first aspect is that all land borders and border patrols are to be reinforced and fortified. The second aspect is the commissioning of radar arrays in many areas throutout Germania. Exact costs have not been published, though such costs could be in the range of billions of Deutsche Marks. In addition, for surface-to-air missiles and launching platforms have been ordered in order to ensure nationwide overage of air defenses.

Eupen-Malmedy Purchase Proposal
Due to how uncooperative the government of Amalitainie has been in Germania's border dispute, the government of Germania has announced that it will drop its disputes over Amalitainie-held lands if they agree to Germania purchasing the region of Eupen-Malmedy at a cost of DM 1 million per hectare of land, totaling about DM 73 billion. The purchase shall also include a non-aggression pact between Amalitainie and Germania if accepted.

Afficita celebrated another success this week as it's bid for $5bn USD was accepted by the Brazilian Government, Flourishing Southlands.

The route runs from Soa Paulo, north and west to Campinas, Uberlandia, and the nations capital Brasilia.

Ambitions include:

• Regular passenger services from Sao Paulo to Pualina, Pocos de Caldas, Golania and Brassilia

• Electrification and modernisation to provide 'metro' style services from Sao Paulo to Paulina

• Targeted local improvements to reach consistent rail speeds of 90kph and 120kph across long sections across the network

• New stations and passenger facilities

• 'Luxury' trains for premium passengers including officials, business travellers and tourists.
  

A big advantage of this particular route is access to Sao Paulo city centre, which in the long term, may provide alignments for entirely new routes.

Overview

Afficita Brasil was formed in December 2024 as a result of the successful bid for the FCA Northeast for $5 billion USD.

Afficita is a conglomeration of railway equipment and rolling stock companies and plans an investment of at least $10bn over the next 20 years.

Project objectives include:

NUSANTARA FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES BID TO HOST THE NEXT WORLD CUP

The Nusantara Football Association (NFA) has announced the submission of the nation's bid to host the next World Cup, one of the most popular and prestigious sporting events in the world. With many billions of viewers per year and hundreds of thousands attending the games of the tournament, the world's spotlight shines on the host country for one month, allowing it to broaden its reputation abroad and boost its international credentials through the sharing of this universal sport.

An avid nation of football, Nusantara's national team has seen rising prominence in international matches, although it still lags behind other nations such as Japan and Korea. By branching out the nation's unique culture and traditions to the world, Nusantara can shine in the eyes of many and further the nation's ambitions in world affairs, with a successful host to the World Cup adding to such a reputation abroad. Nusantara’s well-connected infrastructure, unique culture, football tradition, hospitality, and safety for tourists and football fans abroad are crucial points in the nation’s bid, highlighting the fact that few other nations have such a strong list of credentials. Due to existing infrastructure mostly suiting the needs for the World Cup, the NFA has estimated a budget of roughly Rp 31 billion ($7 billion), a relatively lesser cost compared to past World Cups, with the notion that the revenue generated through advertisements and ticket sales will be a larger boon to Nusantara than the cost. As voting for the future World Cup host continues to get closer, Prime Minister Kadek Sukamawati has continued to reiterate his “strong support for the NFA in bringing the world’s sport to Nusantara.”
