IT'S ELECTION SEASON. OH YEP:  1st Edocan Congressional ElectionAfter the passing of Referendum 1 on September 14th, 2026, Edoca is starting the election season for its first Congress. The 1st Congress will be elected with 3 members. Why would I run for Congress? How does the election work? Edoca's Congress is stronger than meets the eye. You not only get the chance to throw your hand in the ring of lawmaking, but have the ability to scrutinize and work alongside the Directory to produce a more competent and growth-compatible Edoca. Some powers include the ability to confirm appointments to the Directory, confirm interregional agreements, guide and create regional programs, and many other blanks to be filled in as the legislature enters activity again. Congress will contain 3 independent members (MCs). Any further changes to the legislature, including to the number of MCs and the de-nonpartisan-sizing of the chamber are to be decided by referendum or by Congress itself. This election will be the first to not be held by NationStates poll. There will be a Google Form posted on the beginning of voting where voters should input their voter ID then vote. This is to accommodate for the method of voting (That being allowed to select up to 3 candidates). How do I run? Do the following:

Ethical methods of campaigning includes posting your dispatch once-a-day on the RMB, respectfully telegramming other citizens, and changing your national custom fields (i.e. flag, pretitle and motto). Introduction, Format & Schedule The Edocan Baseball League (EBL or LEB) is the regional baseball league of Edoca and Montenay. All citizens of E&M are allowed to put forth their own team. Our lovely embassies may also enter one regional team into the League. The EBL contains two leagues: The Green League and the White League. Teams are placed into a league in a 1-2 order. As a preliminary format, teams currently play friendly matches on an unscheduled/requested basis with other teams. The results of these matches are released on the Edoca RMB. Applying & Guidelines You must be a valid citizen of Edoca and Montenay.
You have the liberty to write/design your team's roster, ballpark, graphics and so on; They are not used as of right now, but may come to be used later. Current Teams

The Republic of Saint Osmund is pleased to present our Foreign Update, August of Fresh Air ( Official Publication of Saint Osmund Foreign Update Dispatch · September 2026 Hello, Saint Osmundians and friends, this is our latest Saint Osmund Foreign Affairs Update Dispatch as of September 2026. We have several different news items about legislation, athletic/cultural games, endorsements, recent foreign affairs actions, new systems including Foreign Affairs, recruitment, and more. Legislation News The House of Representatives approved landmark legislation, the "Executive Accountability Act of 2026." The new law, which seeks to make the government far more transparent, sets up a formal process for Freedom of Information requests, overseen by the Supreme Court. It also proposes a 72-hour weekly question period for the prime minister with a strict automatic motion of confidence should the executive not show up. This piece of legislation has been sent to the President, which the president has approved. The Lered Linkers win the Merriweather Cup In a dominant display, the Lered Linkers secured the Merriweather Cup in the first season of the Premier League's existence. Posting a record of 9-1-1, the Linkers were challenged heavily by F.C. Böötenwald Lightnings and A.F.C. Canton, but eventually pulled away in the standings and stayed on top. The Premier League consists of at least eight teams going into the next season, with eleven teams in the second division. Play is expected to start at the beginning of the month for both leagues, as teams fix their eyes on the Merriweather Cup, and others seek to be promoted into the premier league. The State of the Republic The Republic has maintained high endorsement and population numbers, and is starting to approach Maximum Magnetism. The region has also had increased internal activity and citizen count, and more nations pour in and try to make their mark. The Republic has faced challenges in the area of maintaining a functional manual recruitment bot, as the server used currently faces many outages. The Prime Minister has begun the search for a solution, in conjunction with the admin team. Foreign Affairs Recent News The Republic is proud to announce that it has become a founding member of the Sovereign Shield, an organization dedicated to upholding National Sovereignty principles while uplifting small and medium sized regions. The Republic hopes to be an integral part of the group, and assist in creating new authorship opportunities, and inspiring regions to take their World Assembly Affairs seriously. The Republic has also opened Embassies with the Pacifica, the Outback, Europeia, and the Plains of Perdition. We are happy to add these new regions to our list of embassies and look forward to working with all of them. This concludes our foreign update!
