And finally don't miss the great country-balls inspired artwork at the end of this edition :) Spooky stories TRTHNBB is happy to announce our first-ever writing competition, we know in TRTHNBB we have plenty of great writers and in preparation for Halloween, we would like to give this opportunity for our fellow nations to share their creativity and compete for a TRTHNBB Literature Award. We would also like to open this competition up to participants from all of our fellow embassies regions too. Would you like to take part? The spooky stories shall be published in the next Social Reformer, so stayed tuned for the Eleventh Edition if you are excited to read the best submissions. Bankless Football League; Season 1 and Season 2 The Bankless Football League (BFL) is a sports league within The Region That Has No Big Banks that partakes in the sport of football, also known as soccer. The inaugural season of the league, where 16 teams made an appearance, has now been completed. The BFL S1 would see the top positions shuffle for a while until it would solidify into the "two giants", Dashing Does FC (Costra Estil) and Danobia FC (Danobia), with the competitors of Vlaskal, New United Common-lands, Greater Drussi, and Triangola all making attempts to take the top spot, but for the most part ultimately failing by the end of the season. However, the Greater Drussi team would overthrow the Dashing Does in the last game of the season, before coming into the playoffs. In the Playoff bracket, it was Wash. Fed. FC (The Washington Federation) and Common Land Utd (New United Common-lands) who made it into the Yodle Bowl. Common Land Utd. reigned victorious in the first season of the BFL, beating Wash. Fed. FC by 4 goals to 2 goals. Given the high popularity of the Bankless Football league The Washington Federation commissioner of the BFL announced the BFL's official expansion to 20 teams. The second season of the BFL has now begun, starting on September 6th, 2022. With the likes of Dashing Does FC (Costra Estil) and Danobia FC (Danobia) still dominating within the Sanders Conference. We are now more than 180 games into the season, and this year's playoff rivals have been decided. Well done to Danobia,Costra Estil, New United Common-lands, Kaltburg, Socialistic Britain, Brendene , Newhe theimania islands and Vlaskal with their teams all making the playoffs. Season 2 final standings Sanders Conference Dogger Conference InterLeft Chancellor elections In a shock announcement back on the 20th of September, Lawid the head of the InterLeft stood down from their role due to personal reasons. Artotzkiya of Asterya as an administrator of the InterLeft very quickly organised a snap election, where both New United Common-lands and Onionist Randosia of Asterya agreed to run as candidates. Both candidates gave their campaign pitches on the InterLeft discord server, with very similar platforms with the biggest difference being OR’s plans to build an IL military while NUCL has plans to build IL branding instead. At the time of writing this we are hours away from knowing who the new Chancellor of the InterLeft will be however at the time of writing the votes are as follows (votes subject to review);New United Common-lands 24 votes and Onionist Randosia 16 votes. N-day: BoomBloc On N-day TRTHNBB officially joined with fellow friends and colleagues from the InterLeft and TheFreeBloc. Calling our faction BoomBloc, where we amassed around 250 nations many of which were puppets. Making us the 11th largest faction in the whole of NationStates. Thanks to all the nations who participated in our turbulent N-day this year, we went from the early heights of top or the leaderboard to the deep lows of the leaderboard after a few hours. I’d say for many of us the N-day was an eye-opening experience, especially as many of us were experiencing our first N-day. One picture can describe our N-day pretty well. Meme credit to The Washington Federation Join us for Z-day For those of you who were unaware, every year around 31 October. which is known in many real-life cultures to be Halloween, NationStates holds an annual event known as Z-Day. Contrary to its name, Z-Day typically lasts between 30 to 36 hours in length, giving everyone around the world the chance to participate in this event. During this time, the entire world of NationStates is engulfed in a state of emergency where an infectious disease seems to uncontrollably spread, turning people into zombies. Our Constitution Committee has been setup, with Yodle as our committee lead. We are currently in the brainstorming phase of development and researching other constitutions. Check out the Constitution timeline here May Census Report Thanks to all nations who took part in our May Census, this provided some useful insights into our region, most importantly though, Big Bank approval ratings were very low. Whilst we may have different ways of running our respective governments we are all unified against the big banks! Over 80% of our nations were unified in this sentiment. The most interesting part for the context of the region was probably around the Regional Government, approval ratings with New United Common-lands, The Washington Federation and Ardeyn all coming out with the highest ratings, although maybe not a massive surprise as these three nations are the most active within our regional government. The lowest approval ratings were for Partisan Italy (our former Minister of Defense) and Brendene (our former Deputy Minister Of Defense), so now it has become an ongoing joke on the RMB that Minster of Defense role is cursed, any nation will end up becoming inactive and CTE’ing so we shall see if that prophecy continues to be the case! The majority of TRTHNBB nations favour left-wing politics, (with 12 nations preferring that option), centre left politics and centrism were the 2nd and 3rd preference respectively. This probably helps explains our regional political party approval ratings, which showed the centre left parties commanding more support and those parties aligning further left tending to be less popular. The parties with the highest approval ratings were the Democratic Socialist Party and the Environmental Protection Party. With the least popular parties being the Socialist Union Rally and Socialist Automation Party. Read all of the Census results here. New Banner! Sicario Mercenary Corps has been promoted in the Ministry of Defense department to support alongside Vlaskal and Socialistic Britain with keeping our region safe and supporting to moderate our RMB. Well done to our newest Security Officer Sicario Mercenary Corps and thanks for agreeing to help. In addition, and given their drawing expertise, I’m glad to report Socialistic Britain now will be serving as TRTHNBB’s Chief Curator alongside their current role as Security Officer. The United Regions Alliance recommends a vote AGAINST "Repeal: Condemn Ever-Wandering Souls" by a vote of 54.94% AGAINST, 2.89% ABSTAIN. 12 of 23 regions voting. URA World Assembly Recommendation Repeal: Condemn Ever-Wandering Souls Security Council Resolution #326 “Condemn Ever-Wandering Souls” shall be struck out and rendered null and void. The Security Council, Reiterating that condemnation by this august body is one of the highest forms of punitive recognition a nation can receive for villainy and subversion, Acknowledging the prior passage of Condemn Ever-Wandering Souls (Souls), which sought to condemn the nominee for their many years as a figure in raiding, Respecting that the writing of SC#326 is excellent and up to modern standards of quality, though nevertheless unconvinced that the nominee is deserving of recognition by the Security Council for their alleged misdeeds, Recognizing that SC#236 mentions Souls’ involvement and leadership in numerous raiding organizations, though contending that their career in the multiverse is primarily viewed through their role in The Black Hawks specifically, Questioning the relevance of the “Iterating” clause, as ensuring the destruction of The Black Riders and “denying [them] any chance at salvation” is not a condemnable act given The Black Riders’ reputation as a repulsive organization which has been forever removed from the plane of existence by divine intervention, Asserting that Souls’ leadership of The Black Hawks was, on the whole, detrimental to raiderdom due to their advancement of the parasitic and self-defeating “Raider Unity” ideology. Under Souls’ leadership, the Council of Hawks exploited and attempted to vassalize other raider organizations, notably the iteration of HYDRA at the time, decidedly making Souls’ style of leadership damaging to raider objectives, Recalling that Souls has played a major role in the political alienation of imperialist and Independent regions from supporting invaders, where regions such as The Land of Kings and Emperors and Balder, previously reliable supporters of invasions, were pushed away from raiderdom by Souls’ dogmatic and antagonistic demeanor, thereby adding significantly to the political crisis faced by raiderdom today, Dissatisfied with the claim that Souls is condemnable in nature, as nations which are most deserving of the designation are those which operate with unmitigated brutality, whereas, in the rare instances where they have produced a viable scheme, Souls has often failed to follow through on their proclaimed nefarious intentions, especially when said intentions were brought to the public eye, such as: Hiding from the public eye almost completely in the aftermath of the “Red Phone” intelligence disclosures. Souls repeatedly asserted their interest in subverting and eventually destroying the South Pacific’s legitimate government in these declassified documents, but refused to expend their own effort and later retreated from answering for their boasts, A series of intelligence and subversion operations planned by another organization Souls holds commanding rank in, targeting multiple regions, most notably Balder, which were unsuccessful and abandoned due to poor planning and execution on all fronts, such incompetence and the subsequent public fallout further isolating raider regions in the public discourse, Delighted that many founded regions were further protected against permanent damage and seizure as a result of Souls’ diplomatic folly. Due to the loss of support from many imperialist and Independent groups, liberating coalitions and their allies have found passing preventative liberations to be of relative ease with minimal controversy, in part thanks to diplomatic repulsion by raiders encouraging more moderate regions to support these measures, Concluding that while the target resolution is well articulated, Souls lacked ability, efficiency and tactful calculation while leading The Black Hawks, ultimately undermining their own ill-intended goals, dismantling their suitability for condemnation, Affirming that while Souls held several positions in raiding high command over several years, their contributions to raiderdom have undoubtedly been feeble and that of a cosmic liability, and therefore, Hereby repeals Security Council Resolution #326 “Condemn Ever-Wandering Souls”. Co-author: Writinglegend  here.The United Regions Alliance recommends that you vote AGAINST the resolution This resolution argues that the condemnation given to Ever-Wandering Souls by SC #326 is not deserved by arguing that their contributions to raiderdom have been both weak towards the success of that sphere, as well as a liability in certain aspects to their success. When assessing this resolution and whether or not to vote against or in favour, it is important to consider not just the context textually, but also around the political motivations of this proposal. As has been discussed at length on the forum thread for this resolution, and stated directly by the author themselves, their goal with this resolution (as well as others that they have proposed in the past repealing other condemnations) is to repeal so-called "congratulatory" raider condemnations. Within the URA, we have experienced threats and actual raids on some of our member regions, including from The Brotherhood of Malice, which the target nation of the condemnation in question is a member of and a leader in. It is precisely these reasons that we as the United Regions Alliance are so firmly opposed to repealing the condemnation of Ever-Wandering Souls. To claim that simply because a raider may appreciate and value their condemnation is reason enough to prevent them from having one is preposterous; this condemnation is to recognize the actions of this nation, particularly because of the impact of them being negative, not because they should feel bad about it being granted to them. We disagree with the arguments put forth under this repeal in disregarding and undervaluing Ever-Wandering Souls achievements, negative though they may be, and STRONGLY urge a vote AGAINST this resolution.
