The Holy Empire of Switchokrachka is a massive, safe nation, ruled by Lumina Ishtar Yuki with an iron fist, and remarkable for its rum-swilling pirates, compulsory military service, and devotion to social welfare. The hard-nosed, cynical, devout population of 1.142 billion Switchokrachkans are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The large, socially-minded, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Administration, Defense, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of The Underground City of Yurigrad. The average income tax rate is 66.8%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The Switchokrachkan economy, worth 72.5 trillion Tollars a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, fairly diversified black market in Information Technology, Automobile Manufacturing, Uranium Mining, and Arms Manufacturing. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 63,452 Tollars, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Teams of painters are converting road signs from horse lengths to kilometers, robotic spouses prove to be just as imperfect as flesh and blood ones, Lumina Ishtar Yuki has been known to threaten dissenting citizens with a machine gun at press conferences, and Lumina Ishtar Yuki is the self-declared God of all Switchokrachka. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Switchokrachka's national animal is the Kitsune, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities, and its national religion is Luminism.

Switchokrachka is ranked 251,733^rd in the world and 134^th in Refugia for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring -6.03 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
