Of course there's a sudden heatwave this week. When I'm stuck sleeping in a car without A/C. |
I am so tired of all this AI crap. ~ Melbourne |
Just checking in Aplan, if you were to start a gofundme I would absolutely pitch in and I know quite a few others that would as well, we live in a brutally difficult world and we’ve only got each other |
That's an excellent idea. |
Half-way through the first month of spring, and we're already getting summer temps. This does not bode well for actual summer temps. ~ Melbourne |
Don't really think I deserve a gofundme if I'm honest. |
I understand. But if you change your mind, let us know. ~ Melbourne |
The Melbourne weather forecast advises us that we are to expect more rain in the next 72 hours than we've had in all the time since last Christmas. Thank goodness I live near the top of a hilly area with really excellent storm drains. ~ Melbourne |
Does your government prohibit you from collecting rainwater? |
No, in fact we are encouraged to harvest whatever water we may in whatever manner we find the most useful. Many urban households have large rainwater tanks to use on their gardens. Most, if not all, rural and semi-rural properties have at least one large retaining pond where rooftop rain is harvested and stored. A lot of new house-builds are incorporating tanks of captured rainfall in the flushing of toilets and external use. The only caveat is that when you install a rainwater drinking system in a house, you are required to install a tri-level filtering system which includes UV as well as microfine microbiotic filters. Australian rainwater is still pretty pure, especially up in the tropics, but nobody wants water parasites. ~ Melbourne |
