Now, 'meters of sunlight' is not exactly a functional metric, so I had a to find a real-life measure of sunlight that it could map to - and the one that looked the best to me was So, this nation has a weather score of 10,000 watts per square metre; many times the maximum of what is possible on Earth. But what does that mean? Well, I researched through many one scientific paper, trawling through every the first page until I found a useful mathematical formula: "Mods!! He's doing MATHS on NationStates >:( " I initially plugged in the numbers given in the paper, just to make sure I was doing it right, and I did get the 0.6 degree change that they got, which is promising. So, I then plugged in my weather value of 10,000 watts per square metre, and came up with a temperature change of... 404 degrees celcius. Assuming an average temperature on earth of 20 degrees C (68F), that gives my nation (and its entire planet) a temperature of 424 degrees C (795F). To put it mildly, this would likely be unsurvivable for human beings, what with it being hundreds of degrees above the boiling point of blood. I have no optimistic conclusion here. All of my people are dead. Bye. Or issues that decrease it till it becomes absolutely toxic and unsustainable for life. |

It's were the king built his palace way back in the semi-mythological times because it was "the most beautiful spot in Maraganta", and the rest of the city was built around it, at least that's what the legends say. According to Maragan anthropologists, The first settlers in the area were the pre-Maragan inhabitants of Maraganta, who would later be subsumed by the Maragan immigrants, the largest settlements were on the coast, growing off of the the fishing, raiding and trading that defined the Maragan economy up until the 19th century. The largest settlement in the area was built on a defensible peninsula, which many suspect is why the palace was built there. there were two other cities nearby, which would remain largely separate of the capital until the 18th century, when industrial growth and large amounts of trade caused the cities to boom, this meant that the cities grew into each other and agglomerated into one massive megalopolis, which the royal family decided to unite under a single city government, to provide transport and other services. This arrangement survived until the 1930's, when the city was split into districts, to better manage them, since the central city government often failed to account for neighborhoods outside of the city centres.
