Almighty and Everlasting God,
You have given the human race
Jesus Christ our Savior as a model of humility.
He fulfilled Your Will by becoming Man
And giving His life on the Cross.
Help us to bear witness to You
By following His example of suffering
And make us worthy to share in His Resurrection.
We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son.

Amen.

And Jesus said unto them, "I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst."

Lord Jesus, on this Holy Thursday, we remember your Last Supper with your apostles, the night you gave us your Body and Blood. We thank you for this profound gift, the source of our spiritual nourishment and eternal life. Help us to live a life of love, humility, and service, inspired by your example of washing the feet of your disciples. May we always seek to serve others, mirroring your selfless love. Grant us the grace to be worthy recipients of your grace, and to grow in our faith and love for you.

The Thursday of the Lord's Supper

Gospel snippet: John 13:2b-4

So, during supper, fully aware that the Father had put everything into his power and that he had come from God and was returning to God, he rose from supper and took off his outer garments. He took a towel and tied it around his waist. Et réliqua.

Antiphon: Where true charity is dwelling, God is present there.

Let us pray.

May your face thus be our vision, bright in glory,
Christ our God, with all the blessed Saints in heaven:
such delight is pure and faultless, joy unbounded,
which endures through countless ages world without end. Amen.

Good Friday of the Lord's Passion

Gospel Snippet: John 19:28-30

After this, aware that everything was now finished, in order that the Scripture might be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I thirst.” There was a vessel filled with common wine. So they put a sponge soaked in wine on a sprig of hyssop and put it up to his mouth. When Jesus had taken the wine, he said, “It is finished.” And bowing his head, he handed over the spirit.

Antiphon: Behold the wood of the Cross,
on which hung the salvation of the world.
Come, let us adore.

Let us pray.
We adore your Cross, O Lord,
we praise and glorify your holy Resurrection,
for behold, because of the wood of the tree
joy has come to the whole world.

May God have mercy on us and bless us;
may he let his face shed its light upon us
and have mercy on us. Amen.

The Resurrection of Our Lord Jesus Christ

Gospel Snippet: Luke 24:4-8

While they were puzzling over this, behold, two men in dazzling garments appeared to them. They were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground. They said to them, “Why do you seek the living one among the dead? He is not here, but he has been raised. Remember what he said to you while he was still in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners and be crucified, and rise on the third day.” And they remembered his words.

therefore let us keep the feast
with the unleavened bread of purity and truth, alleluia.

Accept, we ask, O Lord,
the prayers of your people
with the sacrificial offerings,
that what has begun in the paschal mysteries

God, Who, in Thine ineffable providence,
didst will that Thy servant Pope Francis should be numbered among the high priests,
grant, we beseech Thee,
that he, who on earth held the place of Thine only-begotten Son,
may be joined forevermore to the fellowship of Thy holy pontiffs.
Through the same Jesus Christ, Thy Son,

Heavenly Father,
fill our hearts with the joy of Christ’s birth.
Let our homes be places of laughter, love, and peace.
Teach us to share this joy with everyone we meet, reflecting Your goodness and mercy in our words and deeds.

Lord Almighty,
cover me and my loved ones with Your divine protection this year.
Shield us from danger, deliver us from evil, and surround us with Your angels.
Guard our hearts, minds, and actions so that we may walk safely in Your care.
Let Your presence be our refuge in times of uncertainty, and help us trust fully in Your faithful protection.
Keep us safe, guided, and strengthened in every step we take this New Year.

Lord Jesus Christ, Carpenter of Nazareth,
You were a worker as I am. Give me, and all workers, the privilege to work as You did, so that everything we do will be to the greater glory of God and the benefit of our fellow men.

Give us this day our daily bread and a fair reward for our labor. Protect us in our tasks, grant strength to our bodies and skill to our hands, and bring peace to our hearts.
