The Two Main Parties

There are two main parties within the Britaniaan National Parliament, those being the Liberal Independent Democratic Party, and the United Labor Party.

The Liberal Independent Party is a fiscally conservative, socially liberal democratic party that advocates to maintain the current status quo. They're aiming to obtain a majority of the royalists voter block to counter the evergrowing red tide.

The United Labor Party is a united front comprised of members from all across the leftist political sphere. There are Syndicalists, traditional Socialists, Communists, Anarchists, and even some Social Democrats. It has miraculously survived the typical infighting that usually comes with leftist organizations and is now striving to gain a total majority in Parliament. They are currently in the works of negotiating a possible coalition with the Green Party, which would allow them to dominate parliament.

With the election nearing and our successful coalition with the Greens, we are set to win this. All we need is a little more push, and then we can hoist the Scarlet Banner over Pendragon... Democratically! Long live democracy! Sure, we have some communists in our faction, but they only make up 20% of the party. We can bring our dreams of a democratic socialist Brittaniaa soon! We'll continue looking to uncover and defend against reactionary plans. But, for the first time in a long time, we can rest easy and cruise to victory.

Our efforts have failed. Despite our successful merger with the Royalists, it looks like it won't be enough. Democracy may fall to these Communists. There's only one thing left to do. If the election ends in a red victory, it's time for the military to get involved. We can't lose here. Results be damned! The people's minds have been corrupted! We will restore law and order and create a new, safe, anti-communist-guided democracy!
