Hey guys, I wrote about what's going on in the forums right now! The News of the GamePlay Forums in Three Paragraphs or Less | NSGP News Summarized The Brotherhood of Malice (abbreviated BoM) formed and began steps to undermine the government of Balder.[1] When this became known to Gameplay through an exposé, a number of regions that are allied with Balder released statements pledging support to Balder in the face of this attempted subversion, with some going further to announce punitive measures to be taken against BoM and its subsidiary region, Osiris.[2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10] A representative from the Brotherhood of Malice confirmed the allegations are true, but downplayed both the seriousness of the plan as well as attempting to justify the planned effort, saying that since "Balder is a defender region", and implying putting sleepers to infiltrate the region's government should not be controversial.[11] It is worth noting that Balder is not a defender region- And famously so. Eight years ago, it became signatory to the Independent Manifesto, which is a foundational document in the capital I Independent faction of the R/D metagame, and it has remained a cornerstone of the faction since.[12] Reactions from the rest of raiderdom have been fairly consistent, with most decrying the matter as some form of witch hunt, and some even suggesting that the correct course of action is to continue pursuing a coup d'etat against Balder.[13][14][15] The raider sphere is not a monolith however, famed raider Wayneactia has suggested that a "July 6th Committee" be formed and that Koth, figurehead of the Brotherhood, might face a subpoena over the scandal.[16][17] Citations
