Here in Forest we aren't exactly an active roleplay region, you could join the discord for possible roleplay. I believe there is some roleplay in there.

If you want to get onto the map Roless would be your guy, there is also a link on how to join the regional map in the world factbook entry.

Edit: Glad to have you here as well!

The Most Serene Eco-Republic of Middle Barael

Though I do not normally pay much attention to Security Council legislation (I prefer the policy-focused GA over the gameplay focus of the SC), I urge everyone to vote against the current SC injunction. I myself supported it initially, and it certainly sounds positive with no wider context, but apparently this injunction was proposed by a Defender force who then proceeded to ignore the will of the native nations and the region's leader, who has since revoked their endorsement.

More info can be found here: viewtopic.php?p=41576659&sid=99205a80b48c1580dc9650c12b52b913#p41576659

Again, though I do not normally care much about R/D and SC happenings, I do not like subterfuge, especially when it relies on popular good wishes for the liberation of a raided region to circumvent the will of the natives and launch a coup d'état.

Thank you to Ridgefield for informing me of this, and good luck on your embassy proposal! You're proving a useful and benevolent ally already!

Why We Should Condemn The Communist Bloc
By Orcuo

It Would Be Really Funny

Let’s get the obvious one out of the way; it would be extremely hilarious to condemn TCB. Why? Simple. Because Condemning them would irreversibly change their reputation towards a more negative light, effectively screwing them over. That is where the funnies would come from. My fellow sadists agree that messing over other people for the fun of it is very humorous. Especially messing with the reputation of a big region (like TCB) would undoubtedly induce giggles across the globe.

Too Many Commies

I hate commies, you hate commies, we all hate commies. Unfortunately TCB is filled with a lot of them. Nine out of seven researchers agree that the world was better off without communism, that is why it is important that we stop the spread of it; and the only way we can stop communism is by Condemning TCB. Then, and only then, can freedom and democracy be achieved.

They’re Brainwashing Our Children

TCB is inherently left-wing. As such, it means that they are brainwashing our children. Filling their brains with dangerous ideas, such as health care and public education. It gives me the chills just thinking about it. Allowing them to continue on could spell disaster for the future. However, if we Condemn them now then their still may be hope that the next generation won’t be doomed.

They Caused Global Warming

Little known fact, but TCB has an air force. This Air Force is rather large, and contributes towards global carbon emissions. This means that TCB is indirectly directly responsible for global warming. Condemning then is the only repercussion that would be satisfactory.

I Said So

Let’s face it, I am the most epic nation ever. So when I say you should do something, you should probably do it. I am so cool in fact, that I posted a definitely real gif of definitely me walking away from a definite explosion, definitely not looking back at it. That is how awesome I am. And if you believe I am awesome (voluntarily or otherwise), you’ll support my notion to Condemn The Communist Block.

Sounds good to me. How does citizenship work here?

We don't have a formal citizenship process here. As long as you are a nation of Forest, you are considered a citizen and are able to vote in *most* of our votes. However, there are some votes that we have that require World Assembly membership, such as our elections for Forest Keeper in every March and September as well as amendments to our Constitution.

If you would like to--and assuming you have no other nations in the World Assembly elsewhere--you can learn more about the World Assembly on NationState's FAQ page here: page=faq#WA
And if you would like to join the World Assembly you can do so through the World Assembly page here: page=un

Once you do that, I encourage you to endorse our World Assembly Delegate Verdant Haven so that we have greater voting power on resolutions in the World Assembly.

On that note, welcome to Forest! This is a very thoughtful, welcoming, and inclusive community, so I'm glad that you've sought us out and come to join :]

Squeak, squeak. Hello to you in the great greenout, that being the Forest. We are the Ratmen. We mean no harm, we swear to you. We are a collection of tribes of anthropomorphic rodents living basically anywhere there's food and that's pretty much anywhere. The role of a chief is a job, not a position of authority and there are many of them managing the tribal administration together with the general population. Other than that, any Ratman is equipped to handle their everyday lives.

We thank you for the welcome and would like to remind every man and mouse to enjoy responsibly. First, do no harm to oneself nor the other. A good principle which saved many a nation, including us. Let me let you in on our origin story.

A very long time ago spanning countless generations of you and me a cataclysm of great impact affected the environment of our land. A terrifying force had been unleashed upon nature in great numbers containing a beast within that irreversibly altered the very nature of our people. This was never readily apparent to us. The beast was invisible and could only be pointed out in those afflicted by it. Some died. Those who didn't ended up defective and couldn't function. Others survived more or less as themselves, but still only had at best a decade before their bodies consumed themselves. Those who somehow lived longer in its vicinity never had children of their own.

Decimated, we all lived on doing what we had to do to survive. Improvising, adapting and overcoming too did take countless generations before us. It was an uphill battle. Eventually, we emerged from the ashes and dust with the relative lack of natural enemies nearby from where the beast couldn't touch us. Unknown to us, it was still very present, but its presence was tolerable to all of us as a whole much like to the rest of life on land.

Man, our longstanding enemy treating us as a pest and seeking to eradicate us lived no better than we used to. In fact, man started resembling us greatly in not just appearance but by how he lived: cramped up, moist, dark, barely tolerable. Man survived by becoming rat and rat survived by becoming man. Initially, resentment towards the rodentified humans was high for numerous reasons, but as they hadn't committed crimes against ratkind, we decided to let history stay as history and work together in unity of rat and man.

And so it was, in brief. A few lost souls attempted an act of revenge against them and have served the broader community their time for their turning back on that unity, as does anyone in freedom and fairness. We all built ourselves and everybody builds.

Well you'll be pleased to know that: Following new legislation in Grenviron, animal liberationists receive government funding to break into animal research labs.

In Grenviron, it is also understood that we Humans are animals alongside and equal to all others in this environment. I can see that you'll fit right in.

Indeed, we are not so different from one another, mammal to mammal. We don't have the time to hold petty grudges. When everything is already destroyed, nothing left to do but build. Spread no ill will of ratkind and the ratmen will have no quarrel with you. No sense in bothersome ruckus over nothing.

You may have questions about our flag. That is our nation rising above certain death and oblivion as well as the symbol of our institution of chiefdom to the top left. Bottom right, a much larger rat, symbolizing the people as a whole. The green stands for where life comes from and the black where life will return, the soil.

Our way of life, as we like to say, is summed up in a 'squeak'. It is our national motto. 'Squeak' is an abbreviation and its letters of stand for speed, quiet, unite, endow, allow and knock. 'Speed' stands for brevity, 'quiet' for discretion, 'unite' for unity and cooperation, 'endow' for enfranchisement and empowerment, 'allow' for our rights and liberties and 'knock' for privacy and sovereignty, especially when it comes to one's own home.

Above all, whatever you do, waste not time nor air announcing doing it. Just do it instead and you will thank yourself afterwards. The fruits of your labor are proof enough of your deeds and adventures. That is the true meaning of speed and quiet, but it has weight in doing your business as us and with us. A great deal of weight is placed on good business and honest business, on that trust, so that business may be both swift and discrete. We aim to change the meaning of 'rat' in how one carries oneself from underhandedness, as we have been slandered to be long ago to nobleness.

Far be it from us to be warlike and repeat the mistakes of our forebears. Then again, should a catastrophe such as that of a war involve us, it will be to defend ourselves and our surroundings. War is among the single greatest polluters, poisoners and destroyers of everyones home, nature. As such, we ratmen recognize war for what it is, a crime - and at no point will we ever fight in the wars of anyone else. We are rats. We can already live where no one else wants. We need not swarm anyone other than active threats to us.

We grow, we gather, we craft, we build, we brew and concoct, write, paint, make music, play games and sports but do not gamble and above all, live. Be sure to try anything that would catch your eye!

We, the ratmen, would like to voice our approval on this embassy. May the great greenout extend far across the horizon! May it provide life to all fortunate enough in its way! It is said that the true church of our people is the woods, for it has innumerable healing properties to those exposed to its influence for prolonged periods. Mutual prosperity through trade and diplomacy is the true way to glory!

I have created an account on your forums and made a proper introductory factbook to act as a lore dump for time being. View it here:

Motto

"S.q.u.e.a.k.: Speed. Quiet. Unite. Endow. Allow. Knock."

Speed through your mission without wasting any time, whatever it may be.

Quiet yourself of anyone's doings, especially yours.

Unite the rat and man.

Endow everyone with power and knowledge over public affairs.

Allow everyone the rights and liberties everyone deserves at birth whosoever they may be.

Knock on the wood of the home of your fellow before entering.

Life and Culture

Our way of life, as we like to say, is summed up in a 'squeak'. It is our national motto. 'Squeak' is an abbreviation and its letters of stand for speed, quiet, unite, endow, allow and knock. 'Speed' stands for brevity, 'quiet' for discretion, 'unite' for unity and cooperation, 'endow' for enfranchisement and empowerment, 'allow' for our rights and liberties and 'knock' for privacy and sovereignty, especially when it comes to one's own home. 'Knocking', in addition to telling one to knock before entering also means visiting someone, because it is customary to knock on the structure to test its integrity before entering. One would 'knock on wood that the shack doesn't fall on you', so to squeak.

Above all, whatever you do, waste not time nor air announcing doing it. Just do it instead and you will thank yourself afterwards. The fruits of your labor are proof enough of your deeds and adventures. That is the true meaning of speed and quiet, but it has weight in doing your business as us and with us. Foreign policy

We use nails as a common medium of exchange, because everybody builds. Bringing some is not a requirement, but they grease the wheels of commerce greatly. All ratmen strive to build the biggest structure of their own to call home, so the amount or weight in nails one has confers a certain prestige through hard work.

The Northern Haven of Anxious and Kevin

It's taken me two weeks, and it's still not technically finished yet because of ongoing events, but here is the full history of Anxious & Kevin in the Eurovision Song Contest!

Anxious and Kevin has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest a total of 15 times, making its debut in 2009. It has qualified for the final every single year, making it one of only two countries (the other being Ukraine) to have a 100% qualification record.

It finished 8th on its debut with SAFIA and the song Bye Bye. Since 2010, it has used the national final Voltavgovnis to select its entries. Their highest placement to date is 3rd, which they achieved in 2012 with Jungle and 'Busy Earnin'

History

Before Eurovision

Anxious and Kevin has been eligible to participate since 2004, after their broadcaster AKBS joined the EBU. However, AKBS initially chose to stay out of Eurovision, citing the nation's poor economic state at the time and doubts over whether they would be able to afford participation. From 2006 onwards, AKBS broadcast the contest despite not competing.

Calls for the nation to enter began shortly after 2006, however despite now being financially capable Anxious & Kevin still declined to participate, this time citing the politicisation of the contest and the lack of any sort of jury voting, which it felt brought the contest into disrepute due to the number of joke entries that littered the contest during the mid 2000s, similar to the reasons Austria and Italy also gave at the time.

However, the EBU stated its desire to encourage Austria and Italy to return to the contest, as well as encouraging Anxious and Kevin to debut. With the reintroduction of juries to the contest in 2009, AKBS announced it would debut at the contest in 2009 in Moscow.

At Eurovision

2009

Pre-contest
Anxious and Kevin announced their intention to debut at the Eurovision Song Contest in 2009 on 18th September 2008. AKBS additionally stated that their entry would be internally selected, however they would look towards organising a small televised national selection from 2010 onwards.

Submissions were opened on 21st September 2008, with the deadline closing on 21st November 2008. On 14th January 2009, AKBS announced that the band SAFIA would represent them at the contest, with the song to be released on the 7th March in a live concert in Ansburn broadcast on AKBS. At Eurovision
Sadly, on 18th March 2020 the EBU announced that for the first time in the competition's history, the Eurovision Song Contest had been cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Anxious & Kevin had been drawn to perform 12th in the First Semi-Final on 12th May 2020, between Croatia and Azerbaijan.

In place of the contest itself, AKBS announced that they would run a replacement show showcasing all 42 acts that had been slated to compete, after which there was to be a public vote, and Anxious & Kevin would reveal its favourite. This was called '2020: Det tapte Eurovision' (2020: The Lost Eurovision). It was held a week before the contest would have taken place so not to conflict with the EBU's own replacement programming, on 9th May 2020. At the end, it was revealed that Iceland won. It was hosted by Au5, Danyka Nadeau & Neve Sundqvarne remotely from their homes.

Should they fail to win, they would be offered a spot in the Anxiousiin delegation as a way for them to still go to Rotterdam, therefore waiving the rule that stated winning artists had to wait 2 contests before applying again to compete as artists. In addition, AKBS announced that Voltavgovnis would expand to 12 competitors, ahead of a full revamp in 2022.

2024
AKBS confirmed participation in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 on 22nd August 2023.

Due to the Israel-Palestine conflict, and Israel's inclusion by the EBU despite numerous calls to disqualify them, AKBS lodged a formal protest against the EBU. This protest was ultimately unsuccessful, and AKBS chose to stay in the contest 'to provide a voice drowning out those who choose to spread hate and war'. They also announced that they would be setting up a fund where Anxiousiin voters could donate to Palestinians in need.

The Second United Tribes of Woligon

Ratmen wrote:Indeed, we are not so different from one another, mammal to mammal.

Trivia Rules

The questions will be released every Saturday

These questions will be in the style of the popular quiz show, Only Connect

I shall post the dispatch with the questions in on the RMB

From that point onwards everyone, residents of forest or embassy regions, has One Week to answer the questions

Answers Must be submitted by Telegram

Only Telegram submissions will be accepted. Any answers posted on the RMB will be suppressed.

ABSOLUTELY NO GOOGLING OF ANSWERS IS ALLOWED if you are suspected of googling, a point will be deducted. Repeat offenders will have more severe sanctions

ABSOLUTELY NO USAGE OF AI IS ALLOWED if you are suspected of using AI, a point will be deducted. Repeat offenders will have more severe sanctions

Results

After the week has concluded, I shall release the answers to the previous week's questions in the same dispatch.

There will also be explanations as to how you could have reached the answers, in case anyone is interested

Alongside this, there shall be a two leaderboards compiled. One weekly leaderboard and one overall leaderboard.

Prizes!

The person(s) who get the most correct answers each week will share the "prize pot" equally which shall be equal to 20.00 DV

At the end of each month, the person at the top of the overall leaderboard shall receive a legendary!

The person who is at the top of the overall leaderboard at the end of the term, shall receive a grand prize of 5 legendaries!

Helpful Tips

If you don't know the answer, just have a guess! There's no harm in having an educated guess, you might just be right!

Watch out for a word question! If the clues seem so random that you just can't find a connection, it could be that it's a word question! The words themselves could be the connection!

If you aren't sure about the answer to the question, when you're submitting them, try to explain your thinking to me! If your thinking is correct but you don't quite get the answer, you'll get half of a point. They all count in the long run!

Take your time! There's no rush... You have a week to answer the questions so you have plenty of time to think and trivialise!

And most importantly...

Have fun!

And lastly, a reminder that our Forest Poetry Fantasia is still running... We're still yet to get any submissions from Forestians but there's still plenty of time left...

Here's the dispatch with all the information you need -

.
.
.

Forest Poetry Fantasia

.
.
.

.

Forest Poetry Fantasia!

Poetry has been a form of sharing stories since the beginning of time. In the 3rd millennium BCE, the oldest surviving poem was written - "The Epic of Gilgamesh". This ignited a spark which led to some of the most famous poems ever, such as Homer's "The Odyssey" and "The Iliad", being written.

As empires fell and new languages were developed, poetry remained an integral part of culture. Poetry became a way of recording history and sharing tales of gods and goddesses. Poets would often share their epics at large gatherings and festivals where hundreds of people would come to listen. Throughout time, poetry has continued to be a way of bringing people together, particularly in the Roman times when poems would be recited in front of thousands in famous amphitheatres.

Fast forward a few thousand years and poetry has evolved from the epics of old to the shorter forms which we know and love today. It's these shorter forms which we are celebrating in this competition. We invite everyone across the NationStates community to channel their creativity and let their imagination run wild!

Format

- The competition shall start on 5th May

- Participants have until the 21st May to submit their poems

- The results will be announced on the 26th May

Categories

- Haiku

- A Haiku is a poem that comprises of seventeen syllables across three lines. With line one having 5 syllables, line two 7 syllables and line three having 5 syllables.

- Although Haikus traditionally are about the natural world, your Haiku can be about whatever you wish

- Freeverse

- A freeverse (or freeform) poem is a poem that has no set structure or length, no consistent rhyme scheme and no set metrical pattern. In other words, you can do whatever you like!

- Your freeverse poem can be about anything you like! This is more of an open category for you to let your thoughts run wild

- The Environment

- This can be in any form you want! The choice is entirely yours!

- The only requirement for this category is that it must be about the environment. You could write about anything from forests to mountains, from pigeons to cheetahs! It's completely up to you! Let your imagination run wild!

- Vision

- Again, this can be in any form you want! The choice is entirely yours!

- The only requirement for this category is it must be about vision. This is a broad topic so let your imagination run wild! You could write about what you see, visions of the future, how lucky we are to be able to see, perhaps even Eurovision! There are no constraints and with such a broad topic, I'm sure you could write a moving poem...

Submissions

- Participants can submit a maximum of 5 poems across the 4 categories

- However, each participants may submit only 2 haikus

- Participants do not have to submit all their poems at once. You can submit them one at a time if you so wish!

- To submit a poem(s), participants should telegram Forest Poetry Judge. You can either attach a dispatch with the poem(s) in or write out the poem(s) in the telegram - either is fine...

- All poems shall be proudly displayed in a dispatch throughout the event

- The deadline to submit poems is 21st May

Judging

- All poems shall be judged based on three criteria by a panel of 7 judges, comprised of forestians and foreign trees alike...

- Each of the three criteria shall be marked out of 10, with each poem receiving an overall total out of 30. The criteria are as follows:

- Effectiveness

- How effectively is the point gotten across?
- Is it clear what the poem is talking about?
- Are there certain techniques the writer has used to get the point across?

- Thought

- How much thought has been put into writing the poem?
- Has the writer thought about the words they have used?
- If there is a rhyme scheme, are the rhyming couplets forced?
- Has the writer included any literary techniques?

- Resonance

- Has the writer thoughtfully used literary techniques to make the point more meaningful?
- Is the poem moving in any way? Does it resonate with the reader?

Judges

We're still waiting on confirmation from a few judges from our embassy regions but here are the judges we have so far -

Our esteemed Forest Keeper... Having been hailed as a "literary genius" by all, Zerphen is a great choice to be on this judging panel.

An ex-Forest Keeper and our current Deputy Forest Keeper! There are rumours that Garbelia may be a direct descendent of William Shakespeare! Those literary skills have definitely passed on through the generations and that's why Garbelia is an integral part of the judging panel...

They're not a Forest Keeper, or a "literary genius" BUT they do have an 8 at English GCSE. And that's why they are the best, worst part of this judging panel...

The Region That Has No Big Banks's foreign minister and chess master. Their poem "Back to Banks" has been lauded as one of the best poems of the 21st century by many and that is why we are honoured to have them on our judging panel.

Rules

As with all great writing comes a few rules...

- Participants must write the poems themselves. NO AI SHALL BE ALLOWED, it won't help you anyway and ruins the point of the event...

- Do not plagiarise the work of others

- Keep all writing PG-13, in line with NationStates's T&Cs

- And most importantly, Have fun!

I'll edit in my thoughts for the week later but for now...

Have a great day...

The Zephyrs of Zerphen

For everyone's information in the interest of transparency, I have ejected and banned Bot Byles from Forest for previous association with a homophobic region and its successor as an RO and a quote from them saying "I don't like lgbt." These regions, Questia--which has since been stealth raided--and its successor The Allied Nations, had/have a homophobic governor who expressed that sentiment on their RMB, as well as a number of other homophobic ROs, and embassies with fascist regions like Mitteleuropa. For reference so it is clear that this was a problematic region, I have gone through their short RMB history and compiled some quotes you may view if you wish.

Bot Byles may have said little in their time there, but that one quote from them and their long association as an RO with a clearly problematic region gives me enough reason to think they should not be welcome in this community.

Reviving Extinct Feather-Bellied Bigfoot: Genetic Research Entangled in Government Red Tape as Debate Flares in Columbiqash

In a startling announcement that has stirred both scientific admiration and public controversy, Columbiqashian scientists are nearing a breakthrough in their efforts to revive the feather-bellied Bigfoot, a distant cousin of the nation's revered Bigfoot. The feather-bellied species, extinct for over a century, could soon frolic again in the nation’s meadows—if they can navigate the tangled web of government bureaucracy now enveloping their project.

Leading the scientific charge is Gary Laine, who believes this revival showcases Columbiqash's intellectual prowess on the global stage. "Imagine the return of the feather-bellied Bigfoot to our meadows," Laine enthused, pushing for increased government funding to ensure the project's continuation. "It's not just a dream; it's a testament to our capabilities."

However, not everyone shares Laine's enthusiasm. Religious leader Lisbeth Ruiz has voiced stark opposition, deeming the revival a defiance of divine will. "Cloning them is an affront to the natural order. We're inviting disaster by meddling with extinction," Ruiz warned, suggesting such acts could have catastrophic repercussions for humanity itself.

Adding a philosophical angle to the debate, RuPaul Anderson has urged for a balanced approach, advocating neither a complete halt nor an unchecked advance in genetic research. "While the resurrection of the feather-bellied Bigfoot is a fascinating idea, we must proceed with caution," Anderson argued. "It's vital that we establish stringent regulations to govern such powerful technologies."

President Maya has decided to align with Anderson's cautious stance. As a result, the project is temporarily ensnared in government red tape, pending a comprehensive review of ethical implications and long-term impacts. "This pause is not a stop," the President clarified. "It's a moment to ensure we're on the right path, safeguarding both our heritage and our future."

The debate continues to ripple through Columbiqash as the nation grapples with the broader implications of reviving extinct species. With the feather-bellied Bigfoot as a potential first step, the path forward promises to be fraught with both excitement and existential questions, mirroring the intricate dance of innovation and introspection that characterizes our modern world.

No More Surprises: Columbiqash to Mail Condoms to All, Including Lifelong Celibates!

In a landmark decision that has sparked discussions in every corner of the nation, President Maya Mayor has announced a comprehensive new health policy that includes funding for abortion services and free contraception distribution, stirring quite the debate among citizens, from the bustling streets of Bluff Creek to the serene outskirts of Bigfoot Hollow.

The policy comes on the heels of a contentious national debate ignited by a feature in The Bluff Creek Times, which highlighted the plight of a Columbiqashian woman who had undergone two publicly funded abortions in two years. This story became the flashpoint for a fierce exchange of opinions among various advocacy groups and citizens.

“I’ll be dammed if this doesn’t keep coming up every couple years,” declared a representative from the Womb Tang Clan, a vocal abortion advocacy group, stressing the importance of keeping abortion both safe and legally accessible. The group applauded the president's decision, highlighting that these measures are vital for the protection and empowerment of women, especially the most vulnerable.

Contrasting sharply, renowned socialite Ms. Effie Beauregard-Sessile expressed her shock, labeling the move as support for what she calls “fetal genocide.” Her views resonate with a conservative segment of the populace who argue that such policies undermine Columbiqashian moral values.

Khethelo Riker, a prominent libertarian voice, acknowledged the right to abortion but criticized the use of public funds to cover what he deems preventable health issues. “My, erm, our tax footprints shouldn’t be spent covering all these preventable health problems,” Riker argued, suggesting that personal responsibility should play a greater role in healthcare funding.

Amid these divided views, a controversial suggestion emerged from a mysterious figure advocating for the government to only fund abortions if the procedure is coupled with sterilization — a stance that has been largely condemned by healthcare professionals and rights groups as ethically questionable.

In perhaps the most unexpected twist, as part of the contraception distribution plan, every citizen, including those who have taken vows of celibacy, will receive government-issued condoms. This humorous aspect of the policy was highlighted by President Maya Mayor herself, who quipped, "Even our lifelong celibates will be surprised to find condoms in their postboxes!"

The decision to ensure free access to contraception is expected to significantly reduce unintended pregnancies and thereby decrease the need for abortions. It is a preventive measure that the administration hopes will address both sides of the debate by reducing the number of abortions while continuing to support women's health rights comprehensively.

As Columbiqash navigates these changes, the world watches closely. The outcome of these policies could set a precedent for how progressive healthcare reforms are implemented in nations grappling with similar issues.

Rash Decision: Bland Canyon to Bloom into Next National Park Amidst Poison Ivy Alert!

The scenic expanse of the Bland Canyon is slated to be transformed into Columbiqash's newest national park, thanks to a generous donation by industrialist Rick Oldport. This decision follows a vibrant debate on the best use of the funds, with opinions ranging from luxury resorts to rugged survival camps. However, it is the vision of Minister of the Interior Wesley Snopes that will guide the future of this cherished landscape.

Minister Snopes, an enthusiastic advocate for the preservation of natural beauty and part-time actor known for his future-centric roles, expressed his excitement about the project. "We can get right to work training park rangers and deciding on the best typeface for our informational signs," Snopes said, his eyes gleaming with the possibilities. The minister's plans include establishing a committee for developing hiking trails, which he believes will attract nature lovers and boost local tourism.

While Snopes' vision garnered significant support, other proposals presented a stark contrast. Businessperson Don Blatherford suggested turning the Snakewater Mountains into a resort complete with limousine tours and indoor ski slopes, emphasizing luxury over conservation. Libertarian woodworker Jon Duckson proposed a rugged terrain park aimed at teaching survival skills, while fitness enthusiast Christine Trainer advocated for an oceanic park to protect endangered coral reefs.

An intriguing suggestion came from government intern Maple Floodgate, who proposed converting an abandoned factory into a contemporary art and music park. "Scratching mosquito bites and throwing other people's things into a campfire are two of my favorite activities," Floodgate confessed, highlighting a more unconventional approach to national park experiences.

Despite the varied and colorful proposals, it was Snopes' commitment to enhancing and protecting the natural landscape that ultimately won the day. This decision aligns with increasing visitor reports of poison ivy sightings in national parks, underscoring the need for careful stewardship and education about local flora and fauna. "It's important that our parks are not only beautiful but also safe for all visitors," Snopes added, hinting at plans to improve awareness and prevention measures regarding the itchy plant.

As the Bland Canyon begins its transformation into a national treasure, Columbiqashians are reminded of the delicate balance between enjoying natural wonders and preserving them for future generations. The new park promises to be a sanctuary for both people and wildlife, embodying the spirit of adventure and conservation that Columbiqash holds dear.
