Advances on the Frontlines

Most of the events that happened around July and August were about Operation Jörmungandr with the entirety of National Road 99 being taken and the forces encircled in the north being connected with the main forces. However, some other events happened in these times such as: The SUDF advancing toward the town of Tärnaby as well as taking Ammarnäs and Tjulträsk. The SUDF forces in Gustav's Roundtable somewhat recovering from the previous assaults. As of now, the Armed Forces are chosing to just hold off attacks in order to secure and reinforce their positions before they start another assault.

Swedish National Identity Party Gains Popularity

On the 17th of July, the Swedish European Party was split into two. Various Holmists and Far-right groups that were opposed to Gustav Holm split off and formed the SNIP. This party was to be lead by Isak Ottosson, Leo Edlund, and Johannes Lindbergh. The party has already become popular quickly with a recent poll suggesting that around 6-8 percent of the population already supports the SNIP.

While many oppose the SNIP they have a large base to gain support from and are rising quickly. Only time will tell whether this party can rise up to challenge the SEP as many believe. What is clear is the fact that such a far-right party can get this popular is a clear sign of the political situation in Sweden.

| Following the Caucasian War, a new shift has arisen amidst Iranians and the ruling elites. The war came out as a shock, but it was a lead up since the fall of MECO. During the 2010s onwards, Iran like never before got involved in Middle East issues and conflicts, leaving behind it's legacy of being the island of stability, prosperity and beauty amidst the falling region. Trying to lift the Arab nations from their poverty, it paid a high price when MECO collapsed. The exit of the Persian Gulf States and it's imperialistic ambitions in the Caucasian region led to the worst defeat in Iranian history since the Iranian-Russian wars of the 19th Century.

However, the Iranian people stand continue to stand strong and the Iranian Empress, Esfir Diba, stood strong on her decision to not continue to the war any longer, in order to protect the lives of her people. After the Treaty of Tbilisi was signed, a shift occurred within Iran, a shift which has now led to major changes. The Iranian Empress has completely reshuffled Iranian foreign policy, it's goals and has began mass militarisation of the country seen only before in the 1970s. For the first time, in decades, Iran is set to return to it's 1970s policy.

Mass military presence has been gathered at all Iranian borders, shutting down all and any free movement with neighbouring countries. Mass military production has began on a major scale around Iran, with aircraft, naval ships, missiles, and ground force equipment. Persian Angel Sky Defence System has been established around the Iranian skies, becoming the Iranian Iron Dome. All foreign aid from within Iran has been suspended, cutting down on helping out poorer countries. The Iranian Defence Technology Institute has been established, with it's main task being creating new, fully able equipment. Iranian Shelter Program has been reactivated after over 40 years of not functioning, making sure that millions of shelters around the country are ready.

In the meantime, Iranian foreign policy has shifted with a major announcement from the Iranian Empress, in which Her Majesty states clearly that "...we must go back to our 1970s Policy, in which our focus will once again lie in our European partners and our North and South American partners...we became too comfortable in our position, forgetting that Iran is surrounded by enemies willing to strike at any time and we have forgotten where our true allies and friendships lay..." The announcement comes in motion with the Empress announcing that she sets on visiting Germany, France, United Kingdom and Italy in the coming time with a follow up to United States, Central America, Brazil and La Plata.

The Iranian Nationalism has also reignited itself, with members of the New Unity, Aryan Superiority League and Light and Purity members becoming councillors at the side of the Empress. The leading Councillor of the Council of Ministries, has become Reza Pahlavi, the leader of the Zoroastrian-Nationalistic group, Light and Purity Movement. The country is returning to it's core of Iranian-Liberalism, and with it a shift has occurred in Iran, a shift that is set to influence the Middle East and Asia in the upcoming future. |

Sagrada Familia project in Barcelona receives government support as Royal Family tours construction site

| The Basílica de la Sagrada Família, also known as the Sagrada Família, is a large unfinished Roman Catholic minor basilica in the Eixample district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Designed by the Spanish architect Antoni Gaudí (1852–1926), his work on the building is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On 7 November 2010, Pope Benedict XVI consecrated the church and proclaimed it a minor basilica. The Sagrada Familia project began construction in 1882, and quickly became world-famous as it remains in the process of construction to this day. | The basilica has been seen by historians and architects alike as an extraordinary interpretation of Gothic architecture, an opinion shared by a majority of Spaniards in Barcelona, who took to the streets earlier this July when news was released that a high-speed underground railway line would be built near the basilica, possibly compromising the site's stability. The Ministry of Transportation and the Ministry of Culture fell into hours and eventually days of discussions and debates, before the Spanish government in Madrid called for the cancellation of the high-speed railway line to prevent 'the possible destruction of a Spanish historical heritage site'. The crisis brought Spanish - and global - attention back to the Sagrada Familia, which for many years had been cast aside and forgotten as construction slowly but surely continued. Many Spaniards saw the visit has a major victory for the Sagrada Familia project, with some stating that 'it is about time the government recognizes an important Spanish treasure'. King Felipe VI and the Royal Family departed Madrid aboard the royal Dassault Falcon 8X private jet owned by the Spanish monarchy, bound for the well-known Spanish city of Barcelona. The Royal Family arrived to cheering crowds and supportive audiences as the Family made their way, in an armored motorcade, to the site of the famed basilica. |

Both royals ended their speeches to loud and resounding applause, which apparently confused some government officials who were under the impression the Catalan people were against the Spanish monarchy. Due to this, it seems the course of the Madrid-Catalan relationship has changed for the better, after the monarchy of Spain assured the protection of Catalan culture and interests without compromising the Kingdom of Spain. The Royal Family toured the already constructed parts of the basilica, before returning to Madrid on July 16. |

| In another surprising move that analysts attribute to the apparent fame of the Royal Family in Catalonia, King Felipe VI announced the official start of Spanish government support for the Sagrada Familia project, with an investment of $5 million USD into the basilica's construction. The Ministry of Culture and the Royal Family, specifically Princess Leonor, are reportedly attempting to secure another $15 million USD for investment into the basilica, to fast track construction for a late 2024 completion. | Arriving in Berlin during the midday hours was the jet carrying Her Majesty, Empress of Iran, Esfir Diba. It has become clear that Empress Esfir has taken on a new diplomatic route for Iran, one that dates back to 1970s and that she and her cabinet are ready to deliver on the new path. Germany and Iran have had good relations since the 1932 but it was after 1953 that the two countries began their growing cooperation and friendship which was later solidified in 1974 through the EU-Iran Trade Deal and the highly close cooperation and alliance between the two countries throughout the 1970s. During the 1980s and 1990s, the two countries continued their cooperation on a close footing but during the 2000s the situation began to shift. By 2010s, with closer allegiance with SGRI, Germany and Iran grew distant and despite continuing support of one another the cooperation had not reached it's 1970s height. That is about to be changed.

| Iranian Companies in Russia have began their mass departure, with many leaving off to Europe, Korea and Japan. Many established themselves within Russia during the SGRI but after the invasion, the companies have now announced their major departure. With the companies leaving, Empress Esfir has announced the cut of ties between Russia and Iran. The ties between the two states have been rather good since the 1950s even during the Soviet years. Now, the ties have been cut and the Iranian embassy within Russia has been closed down. The links between Russia and the Persian Gulf have also now been suspended as all borders with Russia through the Caucasian area have been shut down. The exact same measures have been introduced in relations to Central Asia. Project Azm comes to a close; Al Khalid 2 Tank Comes Into Mass Production

The past few years have been eventful for the Pakistani military, as it has been focusing on new technologies and conventional warfare more, making its own equipment. And today, the Pakistani Government has announced the end of it, as it has been an overall success. The highlights are a new MALE UAV, a 5th Generation fighter jet which would be the latest to come out so far, and finally Pakistan's own long range SAM system.

The medium-altitude long-endurance UAV is called the ZF-1 Viper, and it is a combat drone. The UAV has both air to air and air to surface weapon capabilities, allowing it to further Pakistan's drone group and mass produce it more. It is likely to be used in fighting against the remnants of terrorist groups in Northern Afghanistan if the situation rises.

Next is the 5th Generation Fighter Jet, which is called the PF-X. It was built with the knowledge Pakistani engineers had gained from working with Peking Zhongguo on multiple projects. It will be entering production in 1-2 years, but it has been finalized and will be undertaking trials and drills to ensure its success and viability.

Finally, we have the Pakistani Surface to Air System, which has been named the Durrani, after the famous empire which encompassed all of Afghanistan, Pakistan and more, the forefather of the modern nation we have now. It has been noted as a major accomplishment, as it is Pakistan's first indigenous SAM System. It is expected to be put into production very soon, and be deployed on the borders and coasts.

An addition to all of this is the sequel to the famous Al-Khalid Tank. It is noted for its speed, and the new updates include a 1500 horsepower engine, having a top speed of 70-85 km/h. Updates also include an enhanced powerpack, and a better fire/gun control system for maximum capability.

All of this has been compounded the fact that Pakistan's biggest land border neighbor, Iran, has started mass mobilization. It has been a major concern as the instability in Iran may have an effect on Pakistan, with the Russian invasion and then the border lockdown, taking it as a future sign for tensions. RUSSIA, PREPARED FOR CONTINUED CONFLICT URGES AN END TO PROVOCATIONS

Iran’s violation of the agreement securing Georgian and Armenian sovereignty was grave provocation and a rookie foreign policy decision. As the sole adherent to such agreement, and thus the defender of Georgian and Armenian sovereignty, the Russian Federation beholden to the Georgian and Armenian people embarked on a war of liberation in the Caucasus Region. Russia’s swift military action, with troops experienced as a result of the SGRI campaigns, would see the conflict end within a month. Following would be the reassertion of state sovereignty in Georgia and Armenia, the liberation of the oppressed Azeri Turks in Azerbaijan, and the establishment of the Turkic Republic of Golestan. With the regions on the road to transitioning to democracy, and despite a ceasing of armed conflict, the Iranian state continues it’s provocations despite no treaty being in place.

Following the ceasing of conflict, the rogue Iranian state has increased troop presence on its borders in the Caucuses, with the Turkic Republic of Golestan, and Turkestan. Instead of concluding the conflict legally, Iran has embarked again on a provocative stance, one that will not be accepted in a technical state of war. The General Staff of the Armed Forces has ordered the 49th and 54th armies to step away from its stabilising efforts and begin its repositioning to the frontier regions of Armenia and Azerbaijan, readying for potential assault into Iran. Russia’s Caspian Sea Flotilla and the Black Sea Fleets, the same naval forces used in the conflict, have similarly been placed on immediate standby by General Staff of the Armed Forces, in preparation for potential assault on Iran.

Russian Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Sergei Kozlov urges Tehran to cease its obvious provocations, stating that “such obvious provocations by Iran risks continued conflict, and restricts the possibility of peace by treaty.” Similarly, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov urged regional states to “apply similar diplomatic pressure in the face of rogue and absurd provocations by a state grappling with severe internal and external challenges.” Russia, a peace loving state, certainly hopes for redirection in Tehran's current policies, so that the conflict can be legally concluded by treaty.

Air Defenses Deployed To Border Amid Iranian Aggression

Today the Defense Ministry confirmed the deployment of new air defense equipment to the eastern border with Iran. Defense Minister Khalid al-Obaidi confirmed that the move was in direct response to Iran's verbal designation of the Arab States as an enemy and the massing of troops on the Arab-Iran border. Additional concerns include the ongoing but currently paused war between Russia, Turkestan, and Iran, as well as Iran's decision to renege on the Arab-Persian Accords.

The Army has deployed 10x MIM-104 Patriot SAM systems, 20x Pantsir S-1 SAM systems, and 30x 2K12 Kub SAM systems. These encompass short, medium, and long-range anti-air capabilities. These will be deployed to strategic areas along the border, including major towns and cities, but also to the many hills and mountains the dominate the border. Accompanying these anti-air capabilities will be 30 Mig-29 air-superiority fighters. The fighters will be conducting regular patrol sorties all along the border, remaining 10 kilometers off the border itself.

The clearly defensive nature of these deployments should be evidence that the Arab States have no aggressive intent with Tehran and are only responding to Tehran's own deployment of extra troops to the border. Defense Minister al-Obaidi implored Iran to seek diplomatic solutions, stating: "So long as Iran commits itself to a foreign policy of aggression and stoking of tensions, the Middle East will know no peace. It is imperative Iran cease its posturing and seek diplomatic solutions to the Caucasian War."

Despite the outcome of the Hijri Rebellion, many tribes retain arms and influence in their areas, and it is not always in the interest of the state to challenge this. One such place is Easter Iraq State, where the tribal militias help patrol the mountains for the government in exchange for autonomy in conduct. With Iran stoking tension the Defense Ministry reaches out to the Shi'ite tribes. They make a rare offer: to extend not just continued autonomy in policing their territory but to be provided arms and support from the central government. In exchange, the tribes will commit militiamen and guerilla fighters to patrolling and reconnaissance on the Iranian border. THE RENEWAL OF THE GERMANO-IRANIAN UNIQUENESS

The return of an Empress of Iran was met with great expectations. The relations between Germany and Iran have always been considered to be unique in a sense that Iran was always seen as a beacon of trust in the middle of unstable and often untrust worthy nations except Israel. By 2015, the relations between both countries were degraded highly from A2 to B. This had never happened in 60 years of established relations between both nations.

There were big topics to discuss and especially the future of both countries. Would there be more ties ? Would they get in agreement on their political objectives and promise to support each other in an unstable region ?

For this event, Greta Scheffner expect the Empress at the Castle of Berlin. It was extremely hot on this day of july 27th and the escort was met with flags of Iran and Germany everywhere. But also tension.

On tv, the headlines were mixed "WILL GERMANY TRUST IRAN? ANSWER SOON" ; "STAKES ARE HIGH, SCHEFFNER TO KNOW IF A RETURN OF GOOD RELATIONS IS POSSIBLE"; "A COLD WELCOME BY GERMANS, A WARMER BY THE CHANCELLOR ?"

Indeed, while the arrival of the Empress surely was a sign that there was hope, there was also a feeling, among the general population, that Iran had "betrayed" Germany and kept itself in a very difficult positions between SGRI and Europe and tried to get both ways.

The private motorcade would bring the Korean King to the front roundabout of the Palace as the massive complex glimmered in marble and gold. Awaiting at the front door would be King Al-Waleed bin Talal al-Saud and seemingly now the 2nd most powerful man in all the Kingdom, Minister of Defense & Foreign Affairs Prince Nasser bin Hamad al-Khalifa al-Saud. Both individuals would be wearing their traditional thawbs and keffiyeh as they watched the motorcade arrive and come to a halt. With members of the Royal Guard Regiment quickly approaching the vehicle to open the door for the Korean King whilst giving him a kind salute and bow, King Talal and Prince Nasser would approach King Ahnjong with smiles on their faces.
