Our country is very thankfull for our alliance and your contribution in the war and after the war! We will spend some funding to improve the infrastructure that got destroyed on our border
The trial of those responsible for our civil war is concluded. The Leaders of this terrorist group are sentenced to a lifetime of hard labour in the Gulag. Midranking leaders are sentenced to death. We will investigate further on low ranking soldiers and officers on how they were involved in their war crimmes.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is responsible for that sort of thing - whenever we sign a treaty, we get an embassy with the region. In fact we recently repealed our treaty with The Communist Bloc, you can read about it in this dispatch
A few days ago, Europeia along with Balder, Thaecia, and The League, approached The Communist Bloc about a few issues of mutual concern. Discussions quickly broke down, and it's with great regret that Europeia has now repealed the Treaty of Spomenik between our two regions.
We don't want to air dirty laundry about this, because it is honestly sad. We've enjoyed our cultural activities and exchanges with The Communist Bloc. Many of their citizens have become our friends. But it goes without saying that a region can only remain an ally if they care enough to keep their treatied promises.
After an instance of free speech suppression in TCB that violated an article of our treaty, Europeia along with the three other regions mentioned above sent a single representative?the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thaecia?to speak with TCB?s First Minister and Foreign Minister. We did this to avoid creating a feeling of dogpiling and to simplify discussions. These talks quickly broke down as their leadership refused to cooperate or acknowledge our concerns about the treaty being broken. Moreover, the conversation was unproductive because TCB's leadership made clear that they did not understand the provisions of our treaty, did not wish to understand them, had no intention of living up to them ? and were, in fact, indignant that we cared about the treaty at all. At one point, their Minister of Foreign Affairs told us point-blank, "I don't really care [...] what an old treaty says."
So, this is the disappointing, but required, next step after being told by an allied partner that they don't care about our shared commitments. To the friends we met along the way from the Communist Bloc: We truly wish you the best and hope our paths cross again soon.
I'm not sure about the Rejected Realms, but The Communist bloc's embassy in Europeia just recently closed down after they violated the Treaty of Solidarity. More information can be found here:
Thaecia | On the repeal of the Treaty of Solidarity Produced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Greetings,
Earlier this week, The League, Europeia, Balder and Thaecia reached out to their ally The Communist Bloc (TCB) regarding several concerns they had with the region. These concerns were specifically related to the Foreign Affairs conduct of TCB, and comments made in their discord server. The four regions were represented by Deputy Prime Minister Altys (Islonia).
From the beginning of the talks it was clear that protocol, as well as respect for the internal structure of other regions and their governments, was not in order. Nevertheless, the discussions continued for more than a day, after which it was unanimously decided by all four regions to cut off all relations with TCB and thus repeal our treaty with them.
The behaviour displayed by Ant (otherwise known as Pajonia) and Iota (otherwise known as New Astri) is behaviour that the government finds unacceptable and insulting. Abusive language was common, as was the refusal to understand our point of view, despite the fact that our representative clearly showed understanding of theirs.
Our objective was clear: to fulfil our duty as an ally [of TCB], and to express our concerns on the points we thought they could improve. Instead, we were told that our treaty meant nothing to them, adding that our repeal was of 'good riddance'.
Following such a demonstration, it was logical for the government to call for the abrogation of the Treaty of Solidarity - and the closure of the TCB embassy.
There is a new resolution at vote in the General Assembly:
Resolution at Vote:Health And Safety Act Vote Recommendation:Against Forum voting thread:https://forums.europeians.com/index.php?threads/ga-health-and-safety-act.10059556/
You can look at the forum thread for more information about the resolution.
If you are a citizen, make sure to also vote in the forum thread. The forum tally determines the delegate's vote, so this is your chance to determine how Europeia's votes are used!
Resolution Overview: This proposal seeks to promote the health and safety of workers and their workplaces through two major mandates. The authors' first major mandate is to require member states to publish, on an yearly basis (i) guidelines on "mechanical, temperature, chemical, and ergonomic stresses", (ii) guidelines on exposure to chemicals, and (iii) guidelines on helping workers reduce the risk of injury, and send copies of these guidelines to all businesses in each WA member state. They also establish a Health and Safety Board that would compile legal measures implemented by each member state, and enforcement and workplace injury data.
Ministry Analysis: We have several serious issues with this proposal, which, despite its name, does not seriously promote health and safety. Instead it requires compiling guidelines that should already be available in any sensible workplace in a nation with a well developed government, especially if the work is inherently dangerous. Furthermore, the compilation of workplace injury statistics, and the wide range of workplace safety laws, appear to serve no particular purpose in terms of improving multiversal governance. We thus end up with another layer of bureaucracy within the WA that compiles health and safety advice and statistics, largely duplicating similar functions often carriet out at national (or sometimes provincial/local) government levels, with no discernable effects on either the health or safety of workers.
All of us in the Ministry of World Assembly are proud of the work we accomplish in the Ministry. If you are interested in joining the effort, if you are interested in getting more involved in the World Assembly, possibly as an author or one of our staff putting together information for voters like yourself, then join the Ministry! We want both people who are eager to learn and people who already know their way around the World Assembly and can help us do our job even better. Joining the Ministry of World Assembly is a great way to get more involved in Europeia.
If you're interested in getting involved, please contact the Minister of World Assembly Affairs, either by personal message on the forums (username: Gem) or by telegram (nation: Gemeinschaftsland).

The Delegate casts the regional vote after consulting the results of the forum voting thread linked above. All citizens in Europeia can vote and discuss there, so make sure to do so!
As usual, please consider endorsing Delegate Primorye Oblast, if you have not already done so. The more endorsements, the more votes Europeia has, and the stronger our voice in the World Assembly is!

Gentlemen Europeians, I want to address you on the issue of the latest resolution of the WA. Why are we recommended to vote Against on the issue of the Health and Safety Act? You see, we are For Teaching LGBT topics in schools, but Against protecting workers from dangerous working conditions in industry. How is it?
Hello Folks. I hope you all have had, or are having a great day. It's Friday here so that means it is time for Freeverse Friday.
The topic for this weeks freeverse is rest and relaxation. It’s always important to leave some time for yourself, and a good way to do so is writing or reading poems.
Here’s a personal favorite of mine, by Percy Shelley.
Ye gentle visitations of calm thought? Moods like the memories of happier earth, Which come arrayed in thoughts of little worth, Like stars in clouds by the weak winds enwrought,? But that the clouds depart and stars remain, While they remain, and ye, alas, depart!
On the topic of Weekly RMB Activities, the Ministry of I terror will be releasing a new schedule for the term. Look out for new and exciting topics to post about!
When despair for the world grows in me and I wake in the night at the least sound in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be, I go and lie down where the wood drake rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds. I come into the peace of wild things who do not tax their lives with forethought of grief. I come into the presence of still water. And I feel above me the day-blind stars waiting with their light. For a time I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.
I have eaten the plums that were in the icebox
and which you were probably saving for breakfast
Forgive me they were delicious so sweet and so cold
I couldn't decide between the two. I think Wendell Berry's is a little more straight forward for the topic. But "This is Just to Say", always make me feel relaxed when I read it or hear it read, it so short, is so indulgent like the sweet cold plum. It's that toughtless relaxation of indulgence in a small pleasure. :3
Welcome to Fact Friday. Here's how it will work: I will give you a random topic and you have give me an interesting fact you know about that topic (if you don't know any facts about that topic you can look on Internet or in a book).
The topic I would like an interesting fact is Lin-Manuel Miranda.
