The Legislature

With the restructuring of the administration system, most notably the addition of city states, the legislature has changed. Instead of districts that do not follow set boundaries and are subject to change at censuses, each county and city state shall choose through a means of their choosing, enshrined in their founding documents, 1 person who must reside in their jurisdiction. This person will be the representative of their jurisdiction in the capital. This lower house will take the mantle of the House of Representatives.

The senate will be abolished and replaced with the Council of Iowa. This council will have 9 members, made up of and chosen by those who own 40 or more acres of land, personally or through their family owned corporation of which they are the executive. The council members must have resided continuously in the state for at least 18 years. The nine districts will be added to my map shortly.

Why does 'Council of Iowa' sound like straight out of Red Dead Redemption?

To be fair, the alliance was only made AFTER the Puzak Wars and no earlier than that. Most I can do is 1950, meaning he'd die at 72.
