The United Socialist States of Trarielden is a large, safe nation, remarkable for its irreverence towards religion and stringent health and safety legislation. The compassionate population of 129 million Trarieldenians are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The medium-sized, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Education, Administration, and Defense. The average income tax rate is 28.4%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but sluggish Trarieldenian economy, worth 4.18 trillion kronor a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Trout Farming industry, with major contributions from Beef-Based Agriculture, Furniture Restoration, and Arms Manufacturing. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 32,372 kronor, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Genetic researchers have been expelled, tourists from around the world come to visit the country's famous rainforests, all major public areas are watched by police surveillance cameras, and people stand their fridges back-to-front to benefit from the free heating. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Trarielden's national animal is the elephant, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Trarielden is ranked 77,714^th in the world and 238^th in Horizon for Largest Trout Fishing Sector, scoring 3,675.25 on the Nemo Depletion Efficiency Index.
