The Republic of Moastan is a colossal, cultured nation, notable for its barren, inhospitable landscape and compulsory military service. The hard-working, democratic, devout population of 2.919 billion Moastanians hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

The tiny government prioritizes Spirituality, although Education, Welfare, and Defense are also considered important, while Environment and Industry aren't funded at all. The average income tax rate is 8.6%.

The Moastanian economy, worth 134 trillion lire a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Gambling industry, with major contributions from Woodchip Exports, Automobile Manufacturing, and Trout Farming. Average income is 45,971 lire, with the richest citizens earning 5.1 times as much as the poorest.

The tenet of free speech is held dear, TV shows must meet strict ethnicity quotas, surveillance cameras are banned, and seven-year-olds debate for weeks on the merits of the Oxford comma. Crime, especially youth-related, is well under control. Moastan's national animal is the bison, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Moastan is ranked 103,602^nd in the world and 1,131^st in Pacifism for Most Compassionate Citizens, scoring 44.28 on the Kitten Softness Rating.
