The Republic of Aksona is a huge, genial nation, notable for its national health service, irreverence towards religion, and stringent health and safety legislation. The compassionate, democratic population of 606 million Aksons hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Healthcare, Welfare, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Kevfburg. The average income tax rate is 44.7%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The very strong Aksonan economy, worth 39.1 trillion Aksona Kroner a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Tourism industry, with major contributions from Beef-Based Agriculture, Book Publishing, and Information Technology. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 64,512 Aksona Kroner, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The dessert 'Death by Chocolate' isn't the most lethal dish on the menu, 'Totally Not Partisan News' is a line item on the government budget, immersive video game experiences are interrupted by incessant disclaimer pop-ups, and Aksona has designated Kevfburg as its capital city. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Aksona's national animal is the Tailwood Eagle, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies.

Aksona is ranked 111,795^th in the world and 184^th in Starlight for Rudest Citizens, with 50.71 insults per minute.
