It's downright hilarious how some people have the audacity to claim that when NS staff take action against them for their flaming and flamebaiting, it's somehow politically motivated - supposedly "Pro-Western." If this is what they consider "Pro-western", then sign me up for a lifetime membership to be moderated by such supposedly enlightened minds from the West.

It never ceases to amaze me how, as someone from the East, we often harbor a toxic disdain for all things Western, viewing their inherently progressive beliefs as some sort of contagious disease. And yet, paradoxically, we eagerly consume Western media like a trend. Of course, I can't speak for every person in the East, but it's undeniable that the principles of progressivism and social justice are not exclusive to the Western world; it's just that the West happened to wake up to their own hypocrisy a tad earlier than the rest of us.

Let's not forget, it took Western societies decades - yes, decades - to even consider granting women the right to vote. Laughable isn't it?

Here in the East, particularly my fellow countrymen, we often laugh at "Western policies", proudly touting our ethnocentric economic strategies and prioritizing our own people above all else. And there's nothing inherently wrong with that, mind you. But then, in a bizarre twist of fate, we turn around and elevate Westerners to godlike status, only to demonize them the moment their progressive ideals challenge our antiquated way of life.

Suddenly, the West becomes the epitome of evil, conveniently scapegoated by the Right to justify their continued oppression of marginalized communities. It's as if they've conveniently forgotten that the LGBT rights movement - a movement they so vehemently decry as "Western" - has roots that extend far beyond the borders of the Western world. Queer individuals have existed in non-Western civilizations for centuries, yet the conservative narrative persists in painting progressivism as some sort of invasive Western ideology.

You're no moderate, you're just a rightist conformist parading as one. Mocking progressive ideals while cozying up to conservative ones doesn't make you a centrist; it makes you a right-wing lackey. Money and geopolitics consistently trample over basic human rights. The annexation of West Papua by the Suharto dictatorship in 1969, masquerading as a U.N. referendum, was nothing short of a blatant land grab. Since then, an appalling estimated 500,000 West Papuans have paid with their lives in the struggle for independence, while the world turns a blind eye in pursuit of profit and political advantage.
