🏛️ Embassy Policy: Tiers & Requirements
Since it's inception, The Local Cluster has always had something of a hither-may-care attitude toward opening embassies and what role they play in region growth, cooperation, and introducing roleplaying (particularly Future Tech roleplaying) to new players. In order to remedy that oversight, The Local Cluster has developed a three-tiered embassy policy, as well as the requirements of each, in order to make greater use of this mechanic that has since become such an integral part to regional management and the maintenance of regional health. As such, any regional officer seeking to establish an embassy with The Local Cluster is strongly encouraged to review the policy outlined in this dispatch before submitting an embassy request. All requirements are provided below for easy review. In general, it is not required to contact The local cluster administrator before submitting an embassy request, unless your region is seeking a special concession; please do not contact the curators individually regardless. Regions which do not fit these requirements are likely to be rejected without further contact; if your region's embassy request has been rejected, do not submit a second without contacting The local cluster administrator asking for a special concession; at that point, your region will be reviewed for compatibility and other factors to determine if an embassy would be beneficial regardless of requirements. In addition to regional embassies, through partnership with the NSFT Discord, The Local Cluster operates an NSNexus cluster (provided by AugustinAndroid). Regions which maintain embassies with The Local Cluster, are in good standing with the region, and utilize AugustinAndroid (with both the NSVerify and the NSNexus modules enabled) may request to join the cluster. This cluster allows all Discords (and ostensibly, their associated regions) in the cluster to communicate with one another without joining their respective Discords. For more information, see below. ⚠️ Note! The Local Cluster will not, under any circumstances, open or maintain an embassy with any region that fits one (or more) of the following criteria. This is not negotiable. This policy will not change. Do not send telegrams requesting it to change - you will be blocked. It is not up for discussion. • Is tagged "Fascist," or otherwise enables, endorses, or tolerates fascist rhetoric and expression of fascist principles and beliefs; Beyond this, all embassy requests are fundamentally at the discretion of The local cluster administrator. Each are subject to review for compatibility before acceptance, and periodically thereafter, regardless of meeting (or not) any (or all) of the following requirements. I. Tier One: Future Tech Roleplaying Regions Require 2 or More: Embassy pre-exists May 1, 2021. Of unique historical or cultural importance to the Future Tech community. Linked Discord server. If not established in primary requirements: existing Delegate (executive or non-executive). Established regional officers. If insufficient requirements met: roleplay-oriented special concession (RPSC). Tier One Embassies: Axiom Supercluster, Grand Alliance, Hoshizora, Limitless Universe, Raumreich Oversector, Realm of Unrestricted Science, Rogue CONclave, The Bar on the corner of every region, The Milky Way Galaxy, Titan, The TSAR (RPSC) II. Tier Two: Roleplaying Regions Require 2 or More: Embassy pre-exists May 1, 2021. Of unique historical or cultural importance to the roleplaying community. Game-Created Region (GCR) in which roleplaying is encouraged. Linked Discord server. If not established in primary requirements: existing Delegate (executive or non-executive). Established regional officers. If insufficient requirements met: roleplay-oriented special concession (RPSC). Tier Two Embassies: Anteria, Greater Dienstad, The Erviadus Galaxy, Atlas (RPSC), Mobius (RPSC) III. Tier Three: Other Regions and Non-Roleplay Special Concessions Require 2 or More: Embassy pre-exists May 1, 2021. Game-Created Region (GCR). User-Created Region (UCR) of unique historical or cultural importance. Linked Discord server. If not established in primary requirements: existing Delegate (executive or non-executive). Established regional officers. If insufficient requirements met: special concession (SC). Tier Three Embassies: Armagedox, Avadam Inn, End 500, Federation of Planets Headquarters, Iterations on a Digital Dream, Mylktopia, Space Sector RPRA, Stargate, The World of Remnant, An Island In Space (SC), August (SC), Earth Prime (SC), Mars (SC), SICON (SC), Star Wars RPG Group (SC), United Federation of Planets (SC) In partnership with the NSFT Discord, The Local Cluster operates an NSNexus cluster known as Amity Station. The NSNexus - a feature of the NS'er-developed AugustinAndroid bot - allows multiple Discords to communicate with one another without actually being a member of one (or more) of the servers in question. While distinct channel embassies do exist, The Local Cluster (rather aptly) uses another feature known as "clusters." In short: where an embassy channel allows two Discords two communicate bilaterally to one another, a cluster allows all member Discords to communicate multilaterally with one another, networked. Those regional Discords that are interested in gaining access to the Amity Station cluster, and thus communicating with members of the NSFT Discord and any other Discord that has joined Amity Station, must meet the following requirements:
Assuming these requirements are met (or willing to be met, as the case may be), contacting Kyrusia by telegram is the best course of action. Assuming everything is proper and correct, a password to gain access to Amity Station will be given and everything will function as intended. Spoilered below is a full accounting of the Amity Station rules. They are quite simple, but will be enforced. Please note, further: if someone happens to be banned on one regional server but not another, AugustinAndroid is smart enough to recognize this and block their messages from appearing on the server from which they are banned. Regions don't have to worry about Amity Station being used by players to ban evade. 0. Don't be disruptive. 1. Use common sense. 2. Be considerate and respectful. Practice good faith. 3. Don't be a bigot. Don't maliciously troll. 4. Keep things Safe for Work (PG-13). 5. Plagiarism is prohibited. 6. Don't post spoilers. 7. Real-world political discussion is prohibited. |
