Primarily natural gas here. Extensive oil and natural gas industry in Castillia. Major natural gas exporter. Though nuclear is big as well.
How did I think that the poll was Ooc >_>
Well... I guess I'll keep hydropower as the canon most common power source :D
Almost entirely renewable (tidal/hydroelectric/solar/wind/etc) or nuclear fission/fusion. I keep my nation firmly in PMT but try to balance it out as best I can.
Though pretty much everything is open to change at this stage ... I'll say, nuclear fission.
Power generation is a very contentious issue in the internal politics of Tangatarehua. At the moment it's about 30% natural gas, 30% coal/oil, 20% nuclear and 20% hydro/wind/geothermal.
However coal and nuclear options are very unpopular among certain sectors and a lot of political parties have policies that promise to phase out one or both options in the future, however no consensus can be reached on how to power the nation's growing electricity needs with sustainable options.
We're a backwater. About 50% coal, 30% nucular, 20% other.
Totally coal because who cares about pollution, the wind blows it to the sea or some poor neighbor
Nuclear energy in its varying forms within the Protectorate. Experiments with renewable energy have yielded insufficient energy density and sprawling and vulnerable facilities. As such, they are broadly considered unsuitable for the Protectorate's very specific requirements.
