The Builders Club of Zemis is a massive, socially progressive nation, remarkable for its absence of drug laws. The hard-working, democratic population of 1.442 billion Zemisians hold their civil and political rights very dear, although the wealthy and those in business tend to be viewed with suspicion.

The tiny, liberal government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Healthcare, and Welfare. The average income tax rate is 9.3%.

The strong Zemisian economy, worth 65.1 trillion computers a year, is led by the Gambling industry, with significant contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Trout Farming, and Woodchip Exports. Average income is 45,148 computers, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 4.4 times as much as the poorest.

Crime is a problem, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Zemis's national animal is the cat, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.

Zemis is ranked 41,678^th in the world and 955^th in The North Pacific for Least Corrupt Governments, with 93.94 percentage of bribes refused.
