The Republic of Touree is a huge, pleasant nation, remarkable for its burgeoning leopard population. The hard-working population of 635 million Toureeans have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defense, and Welfare. The average income tax rate is 22.9%.

The Toureean economy, worth 25.2 trillion lire a year, is quite specialized and led by the Cheese Exports industry, with major contributions from Soda Sales, Door-to-door Insurance Sales, and Trout Farming. Average income is 39,735 lire, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.6 times as much as the poorest.

Crime is relatively low, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Touree's national animal is the leopard.

Touree is ranked 168,034^th in the world and 394^th in Dimmersun for Highest Drug Use, scoring 126.07 on the Pineapple Fondness Rating.
