The Emirate of Rhys Williams is a very large, genial nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service, state-planned economy, and devotion to social welfare. The democratic, devout population of 462 million Rhys Williamsians are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The medium-sized, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Spirituality, and Education. The average income tax rate is 47.0%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but underdeveloped Rhys Williamsian economy, worth 16.8 trillion williams a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is broadly diversified, is led by the Tourism industry, with significant contributions from Trout Farming, Retail, and Automobile Manufacturing. Average income is 36,464 williams, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Rhys Williams's national animal is the williams.

Rhys Williams is ranked 287,961^st in the world and 10^th in N Day for Highest Disposable Incomes, with 19,326.19 Standard Monetary Units.
