The State of Primelle is a gargantuan, pleasant nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service and complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, hard-working population of 33.424 billion Primelleans are highly moralistic and fiercely conservative, in the sense that they tend to believe most things should be outlawed. People who have good jobs and work quietly at them are lauded; others are viewed with suspicion.

The relatively small, moralistic government prioritizes Law & Order, with Defense and Industry also on the agenda, while Welfare and Spirituality receive no funds. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Capital Heights. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 11.0%.

The strong Primellean economy, worth a remarkable 1,492 trillion betales a year, is quite specialized and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Book Publishing, Woodchip Exports, and Uranium Mining. Average income is 44,646 betales, with the richest citizens earning 6.8 times as much as the poorest.

Voting is voluntary and Primelle has designated Capital Heights as its capital city. Crime is moderate, possibly because it is difficult to make it through a day without breaking one of the country's many regulations. Primelle's national animal is the deer, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.

Primelle is ranked 82,692^nd in the world and 290^th in State for Highest Unexpected Death Rate, scoring 36.69 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
