The State of Moboto is a gargantuan, safe nation, remarkable for its ban on automobiles. The hard-nosed, democratic population of 30.445 billion Mobotoans enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.

The large, outspoken government prioritizes Welfare, with Healthcare, Education, and Public Transport also on the agenda, while Spirituality and Defense are ignored. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Westminster. The average income tax rate is 39.6%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The Mobotoan economy, worth 674 trillion betales a year, is highly specialized and led by the Beef-Based Agriculture industry, with major contributions from Arms Manufacturing and Information Technology. Black market activity is notable. State-owned companies are reasonably common. Average income is 22,144 betales, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.2 times as much as the poorest.

Voting is voluntary, cars are banned, and Moboto has designated Westminster as its capital city. Crime is relatively low, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Moboto's national animal is the deer, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

Moboto is ranked 236,930^th in the world and 1^st in Zaire for Highest Unexpected Death Rate, scoring 29.1 on the Bus Surprisal Index.
