The Republic of Koschkow is a mid-sized, socially progressive nation, notable for its burgeoning OSeese population. The hard-working, democratic population of 56 million Koschkowians are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The tiny, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Welfare. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 8.2%.

The thriving Koschkowian economy, worth 3.29 trillion Dersies a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Information Technology industry, with major contributions from Cheese Exports, Door-to-door Insurance Sales, and Furniture Restoration. Average income is 58,709 Dersies, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 207,814 per year while the poor average 11,975, a ratio of 17.4 to 1.

Crime is a problem, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Koschkow's national animal is the OSeese.

Koschkow is ranked 172,603^rd in the world and 10^th in Avaurelia for Largest Trout Fishing Sector, scoring 978.71 on the Nemo Depletion Efficiency Index.
