Thing with historical wars is, the numbers can be exaggerated by anyone.
I myself have always said that only around 50,000 Khas-Kirati soldiers were involved in Khas-Kirati Eastern War (Samudera, Linaviar, Negarakita) and Invasions of mainland Gael (you, Thubek and DS) put together but people on both sides would have exaggerated it to hundreds of invaders or glorious warriors (depending on who was writing it) raining down.
We can thus OOCly agree on numbers but ICly put even a million men as we saw fit (except for quite modern wars).
We on the other hand had this problem of highly decentralised state. Constituent hangates would nod but not send their armies. Even if they did, the armies would be small in numbers or just arrive late into the war. Armies from different hangates would still be having their rivalries or enmity even on battlefield against foes that threaten them all.
Hence it would be no surprise that you, Noronica, Keomora, the Oseans and even the San Montagnans all took over the Empire as time progressed and inflicted major defeat after defeat.
Athara magarat
I am pretty sure DS, Noronica and Razzgriz, with all their extensive colonies and at their zenith, could field million man armies in grand-scale and long-lasting wars like the Great Argus Wars.
I mean not field at the same time and at the same place but still.
I am pretty sure Belgium had a 800,000 man army at a time.
Athara magarat
Neat!
Land of Werewolves; haha :P
One thing, though, in 740s BC, eastern AM would be inhabited mainly by maybe a few Argean Ipachi settlements here and there. These few people would have more in common with the folks of Samudera or Dibolans of Torom than anything people generally associate with modern-day Athara Magarat. Much of the then Xrevaran-descended Yaxa civilisation (aka the ancestors of dem devil Kirats) was in western coastline back then. Only after 5th Century will this eastern portion become Kiratised as well.

Well it used to be 1550s to 1974, however because I don't want to miss out on all the historical wars, I'm having lisbon's influence slowly diminishes throughout the late 19th century so by the time the Imperial war rolls around I'm basically independent.
Every now and then, the Western Isles Office of Information gathers and publishes ranking lists of nations that have been exceptionally active on the regional message board during a certain time period. These ranking lists are called the 'The Western Isles Hot 100', and are presented in this dispatch. The ranking lists are generated using a Java application made by Agadar.
