ive realized i dont mind watching sports... like I get the appeal. my problem with is it is it's hard to access without knowing every team and every time they play and all the main players. like how the hell am I supposed to memorize a football team's players and know how good they are and stuff. it's such an investment
I'm not a big sports guy and I read 538 for the statistical sports analysis, the math makes it way easier for me to get into without knowing the backstory and rivalries

Sportsball is kinda... its not a likeable word. Kinda like calling stuff nerdy crap but the other way around. It gives no respect to what you're talking about and just kinda feels like a word that's used to say that sports are meaningless. Kinda flippant I guess. Honestly I've forgotten good words to use for this so I can't explain it well.
honestly polar are you really defending sports right now

You don't have to, you kinda just start to learn them as you watch. I felt that way when I started really getting into sports a couple years back, even now I don't know all the players on the Bills or even most players around the league, but you learn and pick up on it. Same case with the rules, the more you watch the more you learn and enjoy. Just go in with an open mind and just be there to have fun, if you focus too much on names or other stuff you kinda lose sight of why you came to watch the sport anyways.

I mean, yeah. I love sports, I devote alot of love to my teams and it kinda feels weird when people say sportsball. I find alot of fans feel that way too when its people who don't really watch sports so much who say it.
"Tyranny by Majority" is an ironic term to demonize considering how the electoral college makes the average white person's vote far more valuable than the average minority's

Because I wouldn't trust the people of Cincinnati, Cleveland, Detroit, LA, Chicago, or New York with my life.
Because having a discontent bunch of "Ranchers and Farmers" is not how you properly govern a country, if anything that's how separatist movement starts. Either you coddle them to the point where they think they're different and should leave, you alienate them till they think they're better off alone, or you're met with a divisive issue that can't be agreed upon.

I was about to get on you for ragging on Cincy because it's one of the better places in the state but then I remembered they worship Skyline chili so maybe you do have a point
woah, ive conflated the plots of tootsie and pee wee herman for about 12 years evidently, learned something new today this is worse than the time I conflated the plots of DJ McKay and His Best Friend Bear and Smoky and the Bandit
no, I'm just ending the meeting because I don't see the point in having a one on one conversation anymore if Augustia can only toe the party line as you said, really prevents any new information from being presented. Clearly it's better to just abstract diplomatic interactions rather than pretend characters are doing it
uhhhhh she can't contradict vancouvia's stated policy and that was only half of it. also you started the conversation off with 2 demands? what information did you want?
I assumed there was some difference between stated policy and actual policy, was sort of hoping that would be played with. No OOC point in continuing if there's going to be no different statement than what is in the news thread. I figured just having your rep report back was a better IC (and timesaving OOC) way of making your gov aware of Corindia's policy than a meeting that couldn't lead to meaningful dialogue.
