you're honestly better off for it. i ignore the idiotbox almost entirely. if i start hearing a lot of good word about a really cinematic/storydriven show like Vikings/GoT or something i'll pirate a few episodes to see for myself, and if they're good i'll keep watching and maybe buy the first 3 season box set. beyond that, nothing. most sitcom, gameshow, news and other standard fare on tv is just a waste of time/film/data storage for the most part.
