Your issue is that your industry is not ran by competent people. Sure all business wants money. But if your a politician with no opposition in a market, what incentive do you have to innovate and make your product better. None. That's your problem.

This is exactly why government shouldn’t have a say in business whatsoever free the market and you free the people.

Or maybe we can try roleplaying it ourselves.

It's not going to change much, if current RMB RPers are active. And if it's any indication, it's going to be a loooong time before RMB RP changes drastically without much interference.

Plus, the imperialism has died down quite a bit.

Here's the essential rundown of things that happened since Danube retired. England, Spain, France, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, Albania, Czechia, and Greece forming their old nations again. Humanist germany quickly came in and annexed his German lands. Danube's colony in North Africa became a nation all on it's own (which includes Morrocco, Algeria, and Tunisia...most of which isn't actually submerged). Iceland and graenland and The peoples of america took what was left.

I just want to thank you, so, so much, for everything. I just want to clear some things up. I am leaving Nationstates. I have played this game, for a long time. But, it has worn out my interest. And, I just want to thank each and every one of you. I have had a wonderful time here, and it's been fun. I just would like to thank some especially notable people. I do not know if they are still here, but I would like to thank them none the less.
I want to thank Libertanny, Devlon, Marrabuk, Zukchiva, Wiranath and Sarkis for being my friends here, along with Queen yuno, (and now) Fedele, Wonder woman i, and (our lord and savior) Pakitsk for running this region with such care, and making it a great environment. I would also like to thank Kampf Empire, Asendavia, Chile-paraguay, and New Birblands for being my first allies. Along with a ton of other really special people on here, like Shavara, The communist commonwealth, Talitoa, Stellar Colonies, The earth systems alliance, The new wisconsin empire, Vultuca, Virgolia, Wersh, Seanadia, Ruseniya, Osterreich und ungarn, Terrabis-Seran, Militarized algerstonia, and literally countless others.
My nation will not be CTEing. Instead, it will go on vacation mode. I will be checking in once in a great while. And, I just want to apologize for anyone I annoyed, or hurt while I was here. Once and again, thank you for everything...

*It is mid-April, just before sunset. The old, crinkled, wrinkly and ragged form of Kilkire staggers onto the beaches of his once great capital, Lemrock. The formerly great nation casts aside a cane, and sits down on the sandy shores. The cool sea breeze waves his fading, silver grey hair. He looks contently out at the horizon. As he looks back at everything he managed to accomplish, he lets out a sigh, and smiles warmly. He can see a fog setting in from the north. The sea is calm, and still. He knows what's happening around the world. He can feel it in his weakening bones. The empire he built was falling apart, and dissolving. Puppets, territories, and colonies alike are laying down to rest for a final time. But, he is not sad. he knows Kilkire's time is over. He had conquered the seas, the land, and the stars. He had made billions of people happier that lived in his domain. So, as the sky turns to a magnificent palette of Orange, Pink, Purple, Green, and Blue, and the fog obscures the horizons, and as the lands he conquered go away, he scoops up, a small, dying flower, that was next to him. It was once a beautiful flower, with stunning orange petals, and a wonderful scent, that could only be described as smelling like home. As he studies it, he knows that it is the last one left. It was once everywhere, across the earth, and cosmos. But puts the sandy soil and flower on his lap. He looks back on his magnificent island, and sees his own ancient, decaying, leather chair. With an empty beer mug on the armrest. He had sat in that chair, watching the universe for hundreds of years, drinking from that mug. He leaned over, and grabbed the beer mug. He took the soil, and planted the flower in it. He let it rest by his side. The sky was turning to a shade of pleasant pinkish-purple. The stars were out, filling the sky with diamonds. It was a full moon as well, the sky looked like a museum of the worlds most valuable stones. The thick, silvery fog was now closing in around him. He could no longer see the horizons, or even to the other side of the island. Then, an old, grey, large fox comes up to the man, and, after a moment of staring each other down, not with anger, or fear, but with curiosity. The fox comes up to the man, and settled under his arm. The man felt something inside of him, he knew, that the last of his children had just gone. His first, and oldest had just passed from this world. He strokes the fox, and smells the flower. The fox rests it's head on the man's leg, and the flower, though old, and decaying, still smells, indescribably by home. The sky is now purple, and soon after begins to fade, as the fog, now more like a soft silver silk blanket than anything else, begins swirling in, it moves fast, although there is no wind. The fog begins closing up the shore. As the man looks up, he sees the sky disappearing beneath the curtain of fog, until, all that's left is a crystal moon. A moment later, the sky is gone. The man is not scared, but, rather, relaxed. The last sign of water disappears beneath the silver cloak. He looks back, and his faithful, comfortable, leather chair slowly gets covered by the enclosing silver blanket. The old fox starts to whine, but the old man smiles, puts the fox on his lap, and hold him tight. He know that they are all at peace. As the last of the cool white sand is consumed by the warming fog. Kilkire lets out a hearty laugh, holds the flower and the beer mug tight, and pets the now quiet Fox, closes his eyes, smiles comfortingly, and says one, last, thing:

"Goodbye."

Then, without another sound, the welcoming blanket of silver covers them. And then, the three of them die.*
