The People's Republic of Kaejun is a massive, efficient nation, ruled by President Lee with an even hand, and remarkable for its ubiquitous missile silos, compulsory military service, and irreverence towards religion. The compassionate population of 1.171 billion Kaejunians are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The enormous, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Administration, Education, and Law & Order. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Sengyang. The average income tax rate is 89.3%, and even higher for the wealthy.

The frighteningly efficient Kaejunian economy, worth 139 trillion korons a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. The industrial sector, which is quite specialized, is mostly made up of the Information Technology industry, with significant contributions from Beef-Based Agriculture, Trout Farming, and Arms Manufacturing. Average income is an impressive 119,550 korons, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The best doughnut stores have been taken over by foreign police officers, light entertainment shows are light on actual entertainment, cheese lovers have a case of the bleus, and the Kaejunian foreign aid program is quick to provide starving children with the latest video games. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Kaejun's national animal is the kaesong goshawk, which soars majestically through the nation's famously clear skies.

Kaejun is ranked 14,994th in the world and 268th in The Communist Bloc for Most Scientifically Advanced, scoring 328.81 on the Kurzweil Singularity Index.
