I liked the song this time!

Nah, I listened to both songs, Ukraine's was quite funky and catchy. The UK's was the usual bland pop garbage. Ukraine deserved to win, despite the war.

I am just not a fan of rap music. I liked that they kept folk elements in it though.

Yep, I think that's why it worked as a song, both elements complemented one another. Not a massive rap fan either.

Definitely agree. The song wasn’t my favorite, but it was definitely pretty cool. The variety of instruments was pretty cool as well. :>

At this time of year, our thoughts turn to Summer, long days, sunshine and hopefully some time away. Our election is due to take place around midsummer. I'd like to take this opportunity to announce my non-candidacy for the election. I don't know who will be running or if Americatain will be seeking a second term, if he is then he has my support in June.

With the election in just over a month, is anybody considering running for Delegate? Personally, I haven’t yet decided if I’ll run for re-election, but I would like to see what competition I’d have 😉

The Fried Head of A Down and Dusky Blonde

I'm not planning to run anytime soon.

Test your baseball knowledge:

1. Runner on second. As the batter drives a hard infield grounder to short, the runner attempts to gain third. In order not to interfere with the fielding of the ball by the shortstop, the runner properly runs behind the fielder; but just at that moment the ball takes a weird hop and the shortstop takes a wild leap backward to field the ball. He collides with the base-runner. Though the runner protests that the interference was unforeseeable, and that the shortstop actually bumped into him, the umpire declares the base-runner out. Is the umpire right?

Yes. Intent is no consideration in fielding plays involving interference. The fielder always has the right of way. It is the duty of a base-runner to avoid bumping into or being bumped into by a player who is fielding a ball.

2. Casey's on first, and Lefty, the pitcher, makes as if to throw to the bag, but holds the ball. The umpire calls a balk, and then Lefty hurriedly whips the ball over the plate. The batter, Socko Hamilton, wallops it for a homer, scoring 2 runs. Though the fans threaten to boil him in oil, the umpire disallows both runs, orders Casey to second and Hamilton back to the plate. Apart from his courage, does the umpire know his baseball?

No. The offensive team has an option and in this case most certainly takes the homer in preference to the balk.

Very cool, I certainly learned something. I will admit I am more of a casual fan, but I enjoyed these brain teasers. Thanks Nox.

Three questions for you intellectual types:

What is the meaning of Art?

What is the meaning of Love?

When's Lunch?
