I don’t think replying to a response should be considered a suppressed message. But I can go ahead and copy and paste all into the first message if that’s the only way I can get my message across. I was simply bringing activity to the RMB not trying to spam. Also you should know me being here for about two years how I respond I’ve never been treated like this before until now. I find it interesting overall interesting 🤨 |

While this would be a good idea in a larger region, SP just isn't big enough for a convention to be useful. Regional events in general are difficult, given the size of the region - and growing the region would take a lot of energy, which no-one has to spare. Aga's limerick contests a while back were good, but anything demanding, like needing people to sign up to discord or get on teams, would be impractical. I'm also averse to anything that requires a microphone: it's an infringement on privacy, and also gatekeeps the event against those who don't have a functional microphone. The other constitutional conventions I'm aware of on NS - such as Thaecia's, and I think TSSU did one? have been done in discord chat. I'm aware of several people who refuse to speak in VC, since it's far more personal than simply typing. Any form of constitutional convention would have to be text-based, and would have to be done on the RMB - if not this one, on a linked RMB like Dreamtime's. You'll notice that ends up looking very like what I did a while back, trying to engage the region in discussing the contitution and its potential changes, which went pretty badly. Also, I'd like to think that after well over three years here, we're not that new anymore lol |

Summer Session Government Elected The Alcrisian Regierungsrat has held its summer elections, which saw 4 parties and one independent candidate run for the seats on the Governmental Council. Official results from the electoral commission have reported that the election had an election turnout of 91.8%, which is an increase from the spring elections. According to the results the following members will become Alcrisian Governmental Councilors: Averra (Unity Party) It is currently not clear which councilor will fill which role on the council. According to law, the first council meeting tomorrow will see the councilors select the Council President, and then distribute the remaining council offices amongst themselves. I'd watch it if the songs were actually good, and not all sung in friggin' English. Plus its turned into some kind of weirdo olympics with some of the 'zanier' acts over the years. I liked the old rules where a country had to submit a song in one of their official languages. I actually liked last year's winner, a decent rocker, sung in Italian. I think the thing with Eurovision is that it’s not about the music any longer, it’s entirely political. That’s why the UK has no change of every winning it again, and why Ukraine will win tonight |
I think its always been political, that said, the UK never wins because our songs are always terrible. |
