Ok, I'm guessing that 1 and 2 are true purely because they sound more random and 3 sounds like it was made up quickly. Also, it sounds difficult to avoid soup...
I say 3 is false, since the first two are oddly specific, and the third one manages to be both pretty hard to believe and it also seems like it was made up on the spot.
1) I taught myself Toki Pona, and I’m currently making my own first conlang. 2) I pet a cobra at Amer Fort in India (it was tamed, don’t worry) 3) I eat my Brussels Sprouts raw
Edit: Apparently charming snakes is impossible, so then I assume the snake was tamed.
2: is a lie. I had the oportunity to punch the mayor's brother in the face, but I didn't. 1: Grandpa is a maoist
3: This is, in fact, sort of subjective, but I never had anything I would call soup. This is just a combination of coincidence and me not wanting to try it after realizing how rare it is that I never had it. My ex boyfriend almost convinced me to do it but we broke up before I had the chance. We didn't break up because of the soup just to clarify.
It's called direct action.
You mentioned 1) on the rmb before, so it must be true. Eating brussels sprouts sounds like it was made up on the spot, or like something just weird enough to use on a 2 truths 1 lie... hm... I'll go with number 2): I don't think the snake was charmed.
while I think they would be a fine Mayor of Recife, the current one is João Henrique Campos, elected in late 2019 from the Brazilian Socialist Party. Totally didn't look that up on Wikipedia.
Aww, a shame. Would have been fun to see the news article: "local nationstatser punches brother of mayor in the face".
2. Look at the fine print everyone. it was charmed. Charming snakes is impossible, they can only be tamed. Even if it was a tamed snake, my point stands. Boom.
Regarding 1, I myself have also made a language called Kisvilo. Im still working out it's pronunciations, but the letters are distinct. Sadly, they cannot be produced on the computer and would probably come up as incomprehensible characters.
How do you know I'm not João Henrique Campos, from the Brazilian Socialist Party? I'm not, but... I could be. Edit: it would make sense, too, because if I know brothers like I know brothers, I definitely would have punched my younger brother at this point. I'm starting a conspiracy theory about myself now
Why could they not be produced as a font? Are there too many characters, or do you flow your letters together? Is the writing tradition important to Kisvilo speakers?
I've only personally made codes, where I replace the latin alphabet with new characters and write in English. If I tried to make a conlang that I was proud of, it would become a second job.
Scanian, the fictional language of Middle Barael, also sounds kinda similar to what you are describing. It’s also just applying some rules to change already existing English words, although those rules are pretty complex and phonological based. So often I feel it sounds too similar to English, while at other times I feel it’s too wild and unrealistic for a language.
I am actually planning for this conlang that I’m making to serve as the language of the ancient Native Baraelim, whose civilization died/assimilated off but whose ruins are now starting to be excavated.
I'm fairly certain (3) is the lie, unless you're doing one of those it's-almost-true-but-not-quite things. I know you've mentioned learning Toki Pona before, and you've also mentioned traveling around India a lot before. You even submitted a photo from Jaipur to the Photo Contest this year, which is incidentally where the Amer Fort is located.
Here's a set for me: 1) I've published several typefaces that are publicly available for download on Google Fonts. 2) I've been at a pool party with the Secretary of Commerce. 3) The first time I ever interacted with anyone else over the internet was on the Forest RMB.
Not to nag, but Chan island I'm still hoping you're working on a response to this question!
When I said no one, I meant America as a collective. Not to mention that I was thinking bullet trains that were meant to replace cars. Your map references trains that are designed to replace planes. Gen Z also hasn't had that long to drive quite honestly. A max of 8 years for the very oldest of the Gen Z population.
If you imagine yourself crammed into daily commute bullet trains like in China vs driving a personal vehicle and don't feel any discomfort I find that hard to believe.
2 sounds the most made up out of them, not because of any particular aspect of it, just feels that way. Very cool/interesting/kinda weird if it's true, though. Also interested in these typefaces if they aren't the lie
And if I can do one for myself....
1. I am measurably (but very distantly) in line for the Swedish throne 2. I've eaten grizzly bear meat 3. I once pet an echidna
well, ill stay colorblind for the rest of my life probably, but the doctor said, i might still have sometimes big migraines(not a big change tho), and small epilepsy
I know, i was so scared that i would never be able to see, but talking about the recovery process, i'll have to sleep atleast 12 hours a day, and sometimes only 9, which isnt as hard, because i already have to do that because of my migraines, i have to take special medicals, don't get overheated and whatever + if corona allows it, i'll get a insurance-paid 2 week vacation in a spa with a guest/moral asistance, i'll probably choose some slovakian or polish spa, czech spas don't have as much of the type i need
1 is a lie
3 is a lie, because not even i would do that (i love me some fresh veggies)
3 is a lie
2 is a lie (cuz u eat europe bears only) my turn: 1) i've never met anyone from our goverment 2)i made an google custom background for me and my friends irl 3)i've never seen a star trek movie
EDIT: I didnt see MSR's post, dammit it was wrong anyways
Who will be the cartographer now? EDIT: Could someone send me a link to the wikipedia form for factbooks?
There's no way 3 isn't a lie. I refuse to believe!
2 is a plausible scenario I'd say. No. 1 is too obvious if it's the answer. I'm going with 3..
I really want 1 to not be a lie. I don't know much about zoo, but 3 seems plausible. I'm going with 2..
If I'm going with my own... 1) A car ran over me and I left unscathed 2) I don't know how to use the laundry machine 3) The first online scam I fell victim to involved a piano
Aaaa you can't imagine the excitement I feel right know for having found a fellow toki pona speaker and conlanger in NationStates, and especially, in Forest! I am more of the auxiliary language branch of conlanging, but minimalist languages also caught my attention for some time a few years ago. Needless to say, I am a language learner enthusiast XD
Nobody has been confirmed yet, I believe. I am hoping to be able to at least help out with it, but as of now it is unclaimed.
Anyway, my list! 1) I have poured a pint of water over a cat to stop them catching a bird. 2) A heron once dropped a twig on my head. 3) I once played cricket in a thunderstorm in March. And then it started snowing.
