I need OPINIONS

So before downtime the king of my nation died, and his 65 year old daughter became queen (and she was recently diagnosed with cancer). So I'm wondering if she should abdicate in favour of her eldest son Daniel and all may be well, whereas if she doesn't we may have another royal funeral within a year.
