New Age Industrial Revolution

A recent boost in the economy from the electronics boom is starting up a whole new Industrial Revolution. Recently, the price of wheate and barley have gone down due to new cultivate ways of harvesting. Since the 80's, the FE would hand pick wheate and barley, but since new electric tractors are coming out, old gasoline tractors are being sold for scrap. Tree shakers are also dropping the price of fruit making it more readily available for consumers. In the textile industry, silk from the famously non poisonous spider, Franconian Widows, are being used for bed sheets and clothing. This spider has a silky web comparable to cotton and is insanely light in weight. In the Manufacturing Industry, faster robotics are putting together EVs at a much faster pace feuling the boom.

Hot, Hot, Hot

Heat advisories have been issued for the San Juarezian City-States. Temperatures of over 100 degrees have been reported and thank goodness for air conditioning. San Juarez hasn't had 100 degree Temperatures ever in history. San Juarez Capitilian District is working hard to start declare a state of emergency, but lack of funding is getting in the way. Hurricane Barney ate up most of the funding for clean up. Parliament is voting on raising the corporate tax to help fund the SOE, but the Commoners Party is blocking the tax raise with help from the Green Party. If 13 more MPs agree to block the vote, there will be no tax raise leaving only the small sum of surplus money the government has left, a whole 20,000 Astrons, to fund the emergency.
