Unless things have been changed recently, while I wasn't very active, the map is on a world that -- although with differently-shaped lands -- is basically an "Earth" as far as astronomical location & orbits, size, & so on, are concerned. The equator runs across the centre of the map, while the upper & lower edges are a bit short of the poles (maybe at the Arctic & Antarctic Circles), although the distribution of lands & waters means that it doesn't have polar ice-caps and the water can circulate (carrying heat) more easily: This in turn means that the sub-polar regions are warmer on average than on RL Earth, and the air carries more moisture inland so that we have more woodlands and less deserts.
