It honestly is cute to see them squabble but it just sickens me, it gets in the way of actual issues. What do you do? Personally, I ensure loyalty through psychological conditioning. It's like dogs and mice, let the mice be because they'll fight among themselves rather than you but the dogs? One must fortify their dogs. Some might bite so you kill those, present them to the others to enforce superiority. As for the other dogs, one must keep them close but never let them pounce or disobey, obviously one must punish, call them bad dogs, the whole shebang. Good loyal subjects, the times they do squabble though, that's where one must step in and break it up because in the end, they are all animals.

Agreed, my civilians are mostly mice, and my millitary are dogs... Now the mice are small and not worth the time but now and then a rat finds his way in and for those we set a trap and with a quick snap it has a broken neck. My military is the dogs, the generals are the sheepdogs, rarely one is bad and needs to be disciplined but the rest are attack dogs and if one causes issues that could harm the pack then the dog needs to be put down. I do have a few advisors and things of that nature... Their more like pidgins, they do have a use but on the other hand no one has a problem killing an annoying pidgin.
