Ic:the coronation

Today is the emperors birthday, he is now 20 and officially old enough to become the emperor, as per tradition he changes his name to mark his ascension to adult hood and by extension a new identity that comes with it

The coronation was held live across the nation, as he chosen what name he would be called and the combined crown that once belonged to countless dynasties across minera now solidified into one
(Ooc: I couldn’t find a good image but it kinda looks like a Mix of chinese Japanese and indochinese crowns)

The ceremony went on, he scarred both of his hands and put the dripping blood into a cup, proclaiming his body and blood now belong to the well being of garnel and minera and the priest crowned him before suggesting a name

The emperor chose his new name “Fao-Kong Yüan (Kirikhaniri)” meaning “fire king” he explained this name represents his past being baptized by fire from the civil war and foolish father and prime minister, he vows to do what they couldn’t and keep garnel stable and internally peaceful no matter the cost as it’s a personal and political issue that haunts him

Non the less the ceremony ends with blanks from artillery being fired and a would be assassin being captured and stopped

He returns to the palace and sits, now a referendum will be held to decide how the government should function,

The refferendum takes a month, all kinds of sides arguing the benefits and cons of each side including their own, which would be better and which would be disastrous, and over time, the voting of the referendum is to be started in a month and end in 4

In unrelated news a new sudden rise in crime was discovered all centered around the Azür or Kirigiri dynasty that managed to survive the purge, now acting like a mafia of sorts
