The guard looked a bit confused but shrugged. "Sure I guess comrade, not sure why you'd go here for that though."

The bartender had been ready to kick her out when his eyes went wide and he quickly took the coins. "Uh, sure madame. Anything you'd like really." Some of the other patrons whistled at the amount of money she unknowingly had.

The woman nodded and handed her the letter. Loria opened it up and read it and as she did she stood up, “Tell Jerald to get the truck started, i’m heading to Irithylle immediately.”

With that the woman bowed and ran off. Loria looked at the letter again and over to a small contraption nearby, a sodium lamp lit up the inside of a glass contain where black flames were emitted from a valve, it was always a fascination to her, how such mundane things could create something so alien? Salt water and light from a sodium lamp made flames look black. She shrugged and turned to her room and began collecting papers, clothes and other amenities before making her way to the kitchen where she grabbed food.

She grabbed her things and made her way to the front of the temple where a truck was waiting for her, it was large, had huge tires and looked akin to a military transport vehicle. The woman from before handed Loria the keys, “Be safe mam.”

Loria nodded and climbed into the truck, placing her stuff beside her.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After driving her way to Irithylle in a rather extensive journey through Fallabetia, keeping her head low and simply calling herself a Merchant all the way to the Irithylle-Buevos border. She waited until the stated time to enter the border and when the time hit exactly she drove to the checkpoint.

She looked over at the guards, rolling back her hood, "Pardon me I was told to check in with the Checkpoint officer. I'm the delegation from Egoia."

Before Loria arrives at the border, the watchman on the tower spots her vehicle prior to its arrival. He leans over and yells down at two soldiers, smoking on the sandbag wall at the gate.
Looking up at the watchman, the two soldiers throw their cigarettes to the ground and extinguishes them with their boots. One of the soldiers runs over to the checkpoint commanders office, while the other remains to greet the delegation.

"You one of 'em Ego people? The louie'll be out in a minute."

Observing her surroundings, the checkpoint is walled by a steel frame fence with barbed wire. The entrance is guarded usually by two soldiers standing behind a sandbag wall. There is only one watchtower, with what appears to be a machine gun placement on it. There are four buildings in the checkpoint. Although they are signed, it is written in Irithyllic, it can be assumed the four buildings are the commanders office, mess hall, bunk house and an armoury.
A single military transport vehicle and a Garda car are also visible. The two Gardaí would leaning against their car, obviously waiting for Loria.

Three other soldiers also appear to be present. They appear to be looking busy, but are actually idle.
The soldier in front of Loira is fully dressed in a green battledress with a green vickers helmet and armed with a Sars95. Most other soldiers in the checkpoint are also equipped similarly

Finally, the checkpoint commander is seen exiting his office, flanked by two other soldiers, armed with Dots submachine guns, who immediately break away from the officers flank to begin searching Loiras vehicle for contraband.
The officer is also wearing the same green battledress as the rest of the soldiers however, lacking the tornister straps and the helmet. Instead, the officer wears a black beret with a dark bronze cap badge in the middle of a red square patch.
There is one pip on the officers rank markings, contrary to the 3 stars seen on the other soldiers.

"Good morning, Ms." the officer said. "I'm second lieutenant Whelan, 11th infantry battalion, and commanding officer of this checkpoint. Two of my guys are going to search your vehicle for anything that shouldn't be there. After we're satisfied there's nothing in the truck that shouldn't be there we're going to search your person. I'm going to assume you're the delegation from Staalgrad, but I'm going to need verification. Do you still have the letter the Taoiseach sent you?"

Loria admires the checkpoint, noting the details and the accents of the men around her, she admittedly found their speaking rather peculiar and found their uniforms a little hard on the eyes but shrugged it off.

"I am and I have both the letter and a statement from the Congress of my diplomatic status", she reaches into her bag and hands the officer both the letter from the Taoiseach and the letter from the Congress with seals and all, "You can check my vehicle and my person if you want. Not like I'm going to throw bombs through anyone's window."

They'd check through her truck and find nothing but a few chalks and on her they'd find some cards but nothing illegal. On her own person they'd find an odd medallion with odd runes etched into it but nothing out of the ordinary.

"I'll assume we're done now" She then made her way to the Vehicle to have them take her to the Taoiseach.

Dear Sirs,
I hope this letter finds you all in good health, in Egoia the weather has caused an increased an pollen near the northern parts and I can understand the discomfort that may cause.

As your time is limited and valuable I shall keep my inquiry and requests short. I am a researcher in Egoia and I have been asked to request a meeting with your Foreign Minister and Emperor in the hopes of normalizing relations with your nation and perhaps gain recognition. We bring a dire warning about developments in Pradia that could lead to the loss of millions of lives and the fall of the empires in Argus. Their ruling party is not socialist by any means, it is reactionary through and through and it is more disturbingly revanchist. We in egoia have no quarrel with the Wielbelkians, we have no desire to cause a revolution in your lands, we seek aid from whomever may be willing to provide it against this would-be empire of vileness. I was asked to request a meeting because they felt my father's service in your armed forces might be of note to you. I would appreciate any response.

Kind Regards,
Dr. Joseph Night

A Letter to the Foreign Ministry of The Serdian republic and it's President
Dear Sirs,
We hope this letter finds you good health, understanding your time is important and you must have many issues facing your nation's unrest. I'll cut right to the chase and tell you of a grave concern we in Egoia (Formerly Staalkastel) have. The Pradian nation has turned itself into a dark empire. In spite of it's government's claim of socialism it is anything but. It has actively turned it's nation into a totalitarian nightmare that will cause untold devastation to Argus if we do not take actions to prepare. We in Egoia will undoubtedly be among the first targets of this devastating regime. We ask for aid from the Serdian nation in preparing for or preventing a catastrophe that would lead millions dead and cause the fall of the major empires of Argus.

I understand your people haven't a high opinion of mine but I was asked by the communities of the Free Militias to ask for an audience with your cabinet to discuss normalization of relations between our two peoples in the hopes of preventing this atrocities and then we may go from there. I anxiously await your response.

A Letter to the President of Czestowalskalia
Dear Sir,
I hope this letter finds you in good health, I understand you must be busy but this is a concern of great importance to my people. Calamity is on the way and we must take the steps to prevent it. The Pradian nation has established a reactionary and revanchist government that seeks to destroy the very fabric of Argus. I understand how your people may view mine, we aren't blind to the view the world has of us as ravenous wolves preying on the weak, but we are not. We have no ambition aside from our own safety and freedom. As such I ask for your permission to meet with you and your cabinet so that we might discuss the normalization of relations between out two peoples.
Sincerely,
Speaker Sarah Stranholm

A letter to the Taoiseach of Irithylle
Dear Sir,
I hope this letter finds you well. I come bearing a warning about the growing threat to the world. The pradian nation calls itself socialist but it is anything but. We ask for your aid in averting catastrophe that would result in the deaths of millions of people in Argus. The Pradians are a revanchist, reactionary group that many of our experts is on the road to genocide if it hasn't already begun the butchering. I ask for your permission to go to you as an envoy on behalf of Egoia and discuss the normalization of our two peoples in the hopes of potentially working towards averting this disaster. I anxiously await a response.
Void Protect you,

Greetings and Hello to the Egoian Peoples from the government of the United Serdian States, we'll cut the formalities here and we'll cut to the chase, We're sorry friends we really are, but within Serdia there is little to no political will among the civilian and political classes with regards to aiding the Egoian peoples in their plight, The national mood has been that of isolationism ever since the end of the great war several years ago and in the words of a-many Serdian: "Why send Serdia's boys to fight and die for a group of people we don't know or care much for?" -- We simply have no desire to go to war with the Pradians, especially since there is trouble brewing within our own region of the continent with regards to instability in one of our neighbors and saber rattling from another, we're sorry.

The best thing Serdia can offer for the Egoian peoples is solidarity and private arms shipments and scant volunteers courtesy of private citizens

"Heff, what's the story with that truck?" the officer yells at the two soldiers clearing the truck.

"All clear, sir. Nothin' but chalk an'a few cards."

Resuming his attention to Loira, the officer confirms that the inspection is over. He then instructs Loira to park her truck beside the army truck then report to the two gardaí. He assures her her truck won't be touched.

Once Loira does as she's instructed, and reports to the gardaí, they would fire up their car, and begin the journey to Iríthyra City.

"So, here's what's happening." the garda in the passenger seat says. "We're bringing you straight to the Caisleán. That's where the Taoiseach will be meeting you. You might be waiting up to 30 minutes to an hour, but, what can you do? Afterwards, you'll be escorted to your accommodations, a nice upper-class suite, back when the monarchy was a thing in Irithylle. Pretty nice. Or, if you feel like you're wasting your time here, we can be drop you back to the checkpoint.
During your stay in Iríthyra City, you'll have limited free roam access. Sorry, but, we have to keep an eye on you, that's just the way things are. Wouldn't do if you got lost, and end up in some alleyway, would it?"
"

The driving would last a few hours. During which, they'd drive through many towns, villages, and plenty of countryside views. At last, they arrive in Iríthyra City.
The current weather does the city view no favour. It would be raining down pretty hard, casting a dark and gloomy atmosphere over the city. The structural architecture seems to have a Victorian look to it. The roads and pathways would be paved with stone, there'd be a large clock tower, in the centre of the city, and many church bells can be heard in the distance. Despite the gloomy weather, people would still be seen doing their daily routines. Some people would be wearing fine looking clothes, such as black suits and top hats, while others would be wearing brown jackets and pants with flat caps. A few horse carriages would be seen here and there.
Arguably, the most impressive structure in the city would be the huge railway track, that's elevated above the main road. In fact, the railway would be larger than most buildings, save for the clock tower. The railway appears to go throw many towers. It can be speculated that these towers that the railway goes through are the stations on which passengers board.

Finally, the car arrives outside of the Caisleán. As soon as Loira exists the vehicle, any passerbys would instantly recognise Loira as a foreigner, and give her strange looks.
The two gardaí escort her inside, and up to the Taoiseachs office. As they enter the receptionists office, she tells them to please wait, as the Taoiseach is currently busy.
After what seems like an hour and a half, the receptionist announces that the Taoiseach is ready to meet Loira.

As Loira enters the Taoiseachs office, she'd note that no one else is in the room. Just her and him. No guards.
The Taoiseach, stands up from his seat, smiles, and gests Loira to take a seat, while also extending his hand to shake hers.

"Hello, you must be Loira, the representative from Staalgrad. I hope you had a safe journey here. I am Taoiseach Thomas O'Valera, you may call me O'Valera, if you wish. "Testing, Testing 1...2...3... Is there anyone on the air? This is Captain Alfred Johnathan Cactus requesting permission to speak with whoever is in charge of the Staalka- I-I Mean Egoian Armed forces, I wish to discuss a deal I wish to make." The good captain would say over the radio to whoever was listening in, meanwhile inside the Minerva's cargo-hold, a man would take inventory of the vessel's precious cargo, going through multiple large crates of tools and machinery to see if the group that was aboard the vessel had brought along their most important equipment...
The Aircraft.

"Alright... check off that we do indeed have seven of those GR-7s the Wielbelkians sold us..." He would say to no-one-in-particular except to himself, checking off the notes he wrote down on a pad before walking back to the crew quarters, whistling to himself as he went along.

Egoia

The Dominion of New Aaronian Empire

A monster of a warship is unveiled in the shipyard with a crowd of Aaronian citizens cheering as the flag of the Aaronian navy is hoisted over the it.

The leader of the nation finally appears at the christening ceremony. Emperor Argos steps out on the platform waving to the crowd. He then heads to the stern of the massive warship as the crowd falls silent as he raises his hand.

"I herby name this ship... The Byzantium." He then smashed the bottle on the stern and it slides into the harbor where the rest of the navy awaits its new flagship.

If it doesn't directly involve or affect us, we don't want to get involved. Recognising Egoia as a sovereign sta-... land, is very risky for us. It could drag us into a war with Pradonia, which, we don't want. We don't want our own people to suffer and die for someone else's war. Now, the whole genocide thing is an extreme accusation if I've ever heard one, and one I don't think should be used lightly.
Can you tell me if Pradonia is bound by any disarmament treaties? If so, are they actively militarising? If so, could you send us proof? That could be something to pull them on. Unless, you are aware of the location the dark-uniformed men move the 'undesirables' to. That'd be useful to know Now, even though I said we DON'T want to go to war with Pradonia, and I meant it, we will... intervene... if genocide is involved."

"Alright... check off that we do indeed have seven of those GR-7s the Wielbelkians sold us..." He would say to no-one-in-particular except to himself, checking off the notes he wrote down on a pad before walking back to the crew quarters, whistling to himself as he went along.

In an odd but relatively speaking uninteresting bit of news today, The Serdian Astronomical Survey Union (SASU) has announced today that starting at 9:40 PM to at least 1:22AM last evening, multiple astronomers belonging to the SASU and various independent observatories within the United Serdian States claimed have witnessed strange happenings upon the planet Mars described as "Eruptions of luminous gas."

as of now however the bizarre incidents are currently being passed off as mere volcanic incidents.
When asked to comment upon the happenings, chief Astronomer and head of the United Serdian States Meteorological Survey Mr. Matthew H. Ogilvy had this to say upon the matters.

"I hate to dash the collective imaginations of the world but the Chances of ANYTHING at all coming from the planet of Mars is... well At least a million to one! There could be no living thing upon that remote and inhospitable hellscape that neighbors us." As quoted in the recent prints of the Columbia Gazette, New Hanover Gazette, The Amestrian post and The Saint Denis Times newspapers.

With this news, interest in the red planet has been piqued within Serdia and indeed the continent as at least one foreign Journalist would find as they entered the West Pottersdale Observatory, the primary observatory where Mr. Ogilvy is based out of, located somewhere about... north east of the capitol, in Columbia State, Serdia.

Hearing this, O'Valera leans back against his brown leather chair and tents his fingers, giving Loira a brief seven seconds stare before responding.
"I can at the very least sympathise of wanting to free yourselves from the shackles of royalty. My own father fought against the tyrants, way back years ago, during the civil war. He understood the oppression of serfdom and the freedom in liberation. While I don't understand your ideology, it clearly is what your people interprets as freedom, which is fair enough. First off, I cannot and will not guarantee your independence, this early into diplomatic relations, and the Dáil would not accept it. Second, I will greatly consider joining a coalition force against Pradonia if decisive evidence of genocide or intent of genocide is presented to me. Once again, joining a coalition force would fall on the Dáil, but I have no doubt they'll accept if the risk of genocide is on the table. I can, however, present your case of sovereign recognition to the Dáil, and can almost guarantee they'll accept it. Assuming the Dáil agrees to recognise Egoia as a sovereign land, which, let me reiterate, they will, we'll be happy to receive a diplomat, although, none will be sent to Egoia, for the safety of their own life... Threat of war, you know... Now, as I asked, is Pradonia bound by any disarmament treaties and are they actively militarising? If you could get us proof of militarization, it will help us, should we intervene.

If, for whatever reason, you can't get decisive proof of genocidal intent AND active militarization, then I'm afraid you'll be left to fight your own battles for sovereignty. Just as we were.

If that's all, I'll present your case to the Dáil, later today, and let you know their answer tomorrow morning. You're free roam the city, although, you'll be under Garda escort to ensure your safety."

She stands up and extends a hand, "I shall make my way to my accommodations if that is acceptable."

She turns around whistling "Soldier, Poet, King" as she slowly makes her way to her escorts.

A few days later in the palace, an impromptu meeting had been scheduled to discuss the findings regarding what the Egoians brought.
Present and gathered around a long table were the Kaiser himself, Princess Frigide, Prince Einfrieren, Director of the Central Bureau of Intelligence and Operations Jean Schnabel as well as select members of the General Staff and Imperial Diet. Presiding over the meeting was Chancellor Constantin Jagre who asked the Director to present his agency's findings. The older gentleman cleared his throat before speaking.

"Comparing our own reports with those of the 'Egoians', while there is some truth to what they say there are plenty of inaccuracies and misconceptions present as well; whether intentional or not is outside of my agency's scope to decide. To begin, there is indeed evidence of civil repression but not to the degree the Egoians claim. Certainly their regime is more repressive than ours but that's typical of dictatorships, yet there is little evidence at this point of anything you could consider as purges or prison camps. As for militarization against treaties, there is little to be found but this can be excused by the new regime still consolidating itself. It's unlikely they'll get ambitious enough to go beyond their pre-war borders at the absolute best. In conclusion, while Pradonia has the potential to become a regional rival it's unlikely they'll ever become the existential threat the Egoians claim they will." and with that he sat back down. Before anyone else could voice their opinion, one of the generals slammed his fist on the table.

"These 'Egoians' are clearly trying to manipulate us! We should put them in their place by locking up their so called ambassadors and storming their little 'communes'." said the monocle wearing and scarred general. He was prevented from continuing by Prince Einfrieren standing up from his seat by the Kaiser and across his sister. Unlike his sister who was actually above average in height, Prince Einfrieren had lagged behind both his siblings in terms of stature. Nevertheless the way he carried himself, as well as his demeanor more than made up the difference in intimidating subordinates into being quiet.

"Come now General Zahl, there's no need for hasty decisions." he said with what was probably meant to be a disarming smile but instead came out as a smirk. "I'm sure we can solve this more diplomatically." He could see his sister eye him suspiciously now but paid her no mind. Zahl meanwhile looked more perplexed by the unusually 'soft' response.

"Then how do you suggest we do that Your Imperial Highness?" he asked.

"Simple, we can easily make some vague promises of defense and even offer to garrison troops in their territory for 'security purposes'. In exchange, this Dr. Night is to share all his innovations with our scientists." he said before pausing for a moment. "And if the time ever comes when these communes aren't able to defend their people from Pradian aggression, well. I'm sure they wouldn't mind joining our own nation. For security of course."
There were some murmurs but evidently nobody had any objections to this plan, or any better alternatives. Eventually the Kaiser spoke.

"Very well, if there are no objections or alternative suggestions. I see little reason not to go with your plan Einfrieren."

Ogilvy said with both a tinge of subdued excitement and a queerly raised eyebrow towards the Wielbelkian journalist as Marc entered the observatory, the Serdian astronomer taking a long swig from his coffee mug before placing it down on the large (note, paper, and book-covered) table next to the telescope as he stood up and walked over to greet the journo, offering him his gloved hand to shake.
