"I hunger only for the presence and satisfaction of the Holy Master, the Teacher~!" He recited the words with an energy he didn't know he even had left in him, hurriedly standing up. Despite the fact that he shook and his head hurt from the sudden motion, he smiled warmly and bowed his head to the agents. He looked at Sukrachanowit, then Sikrit earnestly. "All other hungers that I feel can be overcome... even if I collapse from hunger and fatigue, I will fight for the truth because all I want in my life now is to have the Teacher in front of me- and to look at me and offer his healing powers and kind words to my troubled spirit."

He shakily rose his head, the thought of the bearded guru taking away his sins and assuring him misting his eyes and choking his voice. He addressed Sikrit in particular with the enthusiasm only a religious convert could have.

"He saved a woman from death, spoke to those so poor the rich cast out to die... he healed a bitter community. How is he not the enlightened one? The Jesus-Buddha sent to save the world before it destroys itself? We need a guru, and that includes you, agents. His message will help our nation and right the wrongs centuries of selfishness have done to the lower classes. He can save you! He loves you!"

Now caught in the momentum of his raving, the robed male looked at the glass of water, and symbolically poured it out.

"I will give everything that can be given, suffer what can be suffered. Should I perish, the Teacher will be with me regardless in the forever to come. We need a guru. We need Ariano more than ever in these times. Human beings, he says, were meant to experience joy. There is no joy in disproportionate suffering and material things. Santosh swallowed, breathing for a moment after speaking. His stomach regretted forsaking the water, but his mind carried on.

"The Church of Positivity wants only positive outcomes for every human being. It's the happiest place I've ever set foot in, and I implore you to set foot in it when you're off duty and seek the joy that we seek. The teacher loves me..." Pause. "The teacher loves me."

From this point on, Santosh would mumble a mantra to himself, thinking of only one person despite being questioned.

The story had made headlines in Suraiya, more as an eyebrow raiser than anything else. “She couldn’t walk, right. Then suddenly she stood?” Sukrachanowit flips to a more recent article, one from a small town local journal with only 120 recorded reads.

The article, titled “I lost everything”; Deviika Khuvatsatri tells all, covers an interview with the woman where she explains the electric shock therapy she’d been told would cure her. The article quotes her as saying, “they promised me I would be healed if I said the Teacher did it. Two days later I couldn’t walk anymore.”

Coalition Forces Challenged!

Thanks to constant growth in the size and strength of the Westbeechian space fleets, more of the Plyler galaxy has been discovered. The previously discovered civilizations have always been behind technologically and have been given necessary technology for travel and communication and no nation equal to Westbeech had been met. This, however, suddenly changed.

Approaching the edge of the galactic region, a single Westbeechian Arquitens-class light cruiser was taking notes and scanning planets in its designated system. During the routine biomass scan, however, a technician turned to his commanding officer who, in turn, turned to the captain. "Captain, a small group of ships - approximately 8 - are exiting hyperspace near our location." The captain looked out from the bridge and, surely enough, 8 ships entered the system. "None of the ships are Westbeechian, sir, and none carry coalition identification. These ships belong to someone we haven't had the pleasure of meeting.

The captain turned to another officer. "Hail the largest of those ships immediately. These look like warships, and we are no position to engage a small task force."

The officer nodded and moments later, a hologram of a droid appeared before the captain. "Attention unidentified vessel, you have entered Teronian Corporate space. We demand of you to surrender your vessel immediately or face destruction."

The captain snarled. "You have no right or reason to fire upon our vessel. We are on an exploration mission dictated by Lilie Korban, the leader of Westbeech and Executive of the Galactic Coalition. You must give us free passage, otherwise the entire galaxy shall hear of your aggressive action!"

The droid took a moment before saying, "By not complying, you are in violation of the Corporation's policy. In accordance to the punishment, you shall be destroyed." The transmission cut off and the lightest of the eight ships began approaching.

"Contact Westbeechian Outer Rims Command! We are about to be engaged!" The ship was suddenly abuzz with activity. Technicians were moving between stations and taking up new roles. "I want our squadron of bombers launched and the squadron of fighters on standby. Those ships are going to have anti-fighter capabilities, so we have to draw them into primary turbolaser range."

Four TIE bombers swiftly left the hanger and began making a slow approach to the two incoming ships. An officer ran to the captain. "Sir, we have sent our transmission. All we can do now is wait. Shall we hold open the channel for you?"

"Yes, keep the line open! If anything were to happen, they must see." The captain continued looking out towards the incoming ships. "Turrets will fire when in range. Based upon their speed, they are fairly maneuverable. I want lighter fire in a spread, ensuring hits. Begin drawing the bombers back towards our ship."

By now, the rest of the Corporation's fleet was approaching at a much slower pace maintaining a formation around the largest of the ships. The turrets on the Arquitens opened up and the two lighter ships began making maneuvers in attempt to avoid the oncoming fire. However, some of the bolts hit, which made ripples in their shields. Within moments, the shields were unable to hold up to the bombardment and after being struck by the turbolasers both quickly began taking significant damage and were quickly left dead in space. The captain, now impatient and wavering, turned to navigation officers and shouted, "Prepare us for hyperspace back to Outer Rim Command! We will get absolutely destroyed if we remain here any longer. Withdraw the bombers and get us out of here!" As the last bomber entered the hangar, the Arquitens attempted to enter hyperspace, but was stopped. "Dammit, we are stuck in a tractor beam. We don't have a choice in what we do now."

As the Corporation ships grew closer, it was clear they weren't going to simply destroy the Arquitens, they were going to board it to capture the personnel. The captain made an announcement over the intercom, "All personnel, prepare for boarding action. Hostile ships are approaching docking ports." As if on queue, a Corporation ship latched onto a docking port, setting off multiple alarms. Startroopers scrambled and held positions behind whatever they could find, some deploying mobile defense structures. At first there was silence as the troopers awaited the doors to open, the silence being cut by the boarding doors quickly getting cut from the edges, then being blown away, sending it flying into one of the mobile defensive structures. Immediately droids came marching into the ship, but were getting torn apart by the Startroopers, who still had not taken any casualties. Even though they were successfully holding the door, they simply couldn't keep back the increasing number of droids moving to attack. The order to fall back was given, and they fell back to defend the bridge.

"This is the Outer Rim Command Fleet. We are arriving with four Star Destroyers and ten cruisers. Just hold out." The Arquitens continued to hold the signal as the sound of metallic feet clanking in the halls came closer. Troopers entered the door and they began sealing the entrance. As they were covering the bottom corners, a blast knocked the door down and crushed the troopers sealing the door. The entire bridge was suddenly flashing red as the O.R.C.F. entered the system. "Attention Corporate fleet: you shall disengage our forces immediately and turn yourself in to Westbeechian authority."

There was no response. The bridge had gone silent, the entire crew killed. The Corporate fleet simply turned away and jumped, able to withstand the Westbeechian tractor beams from their large ships. The Arquitens continued its signal and from aboard the lead Star Destroyer, the admiral observed the scene. All of the crew was either dead or severely wounded, some obviously incapable of fathoming what had happened. There were still droids on the ship, but they had stopped moving and were in a state of inactivity. The admiral ended the transmission signal manually and sent medical crews from the cruisers to evacuate surviving personnel. Finally, Westbeech had been challenged by a power that showed that it wouldn't back down to their fleets. "Contact Koriban. Once She learns of this, this "Corporation" shall know true fear. Leave three Venators behind to continue the scan then report back to the command sector."

Juan Pablo, poor cattle farmer, noticed something terrible while leaving Chile.
Border guards near the town of Valparaiso were brutally murdered.
"Ay know nothin bout killin 'folks, but let me tell ya, this one was brutal" said the farmer.
The military considers this a border provocation, but the police and federal law enforcement agencies are still looking for evidence.
Local people call the murderer "Border Killer" and are creating civic militias to defend their homes.

Santosh blinked dryly, his smile fading just a little. The mantra lingered in the confines of his head. He'd been prepared to see something like this. The authorities had fabricated or exaggerated things because they fell out of the social order. Still, he made it a point to remember the name and the article.

"It's propaganda spun by opportunists. The woman that Ariano healed spent the rest of her time around him, and to my knowledge is still in the dojo." He remarked with quiet assertion in his voice. "The Teacher had told us that before the end times, there would be fabrications delivered by traitors that would attempt to destroy the salvation of our nation- our world."

Today in an unexpected announcement, Emperor Conall Solis has officially declared an end to military conscription in the nation. The Basic Rights has officially been revised to reflect this, with foreigners also no longer being forced to join the military to become citizens. In a statement provided to OMONN by the Minister Of Defense, they've stated "The end to military conscription was not personally my choice. I feel that the nation was much safer with it in place, rather than it without it. While it's not my favorite decision, I am in full support of it regardless, as there's always a reason."

The changes to the conscription policy are told to us by the Ministry Of Justice to take effect immediately, upon the Emperor's orders. It is not currently known if a plan is in place for those charged with a refusal to be conscripted, or what will happen to any active duty soldiers that were conscripted. Recent data published by the Makko Oko Information Collective Service shows an upward trend of intelligence in citizens since the start of 2022, heading from 17.35 on January 1st, to 39.55 as of May 18th, 2022. All-Knowing Teacher

Information had been communicated from both branches of the Church of Positivity in secret. The branch in Caryton knew about the IIS in Sadripoor beginning an investigation into their group with Santosh Mahanta. Likewise, the branch in Suraiya knew about Carytonic authorities looking into the same investigations due to plants in local authorities. With the hard material from covert dealings with the Ferwerter Union in their possession, any authorities needed to be thrown off the trail.

The only hard evidence that the Suraiyans had would be the deprived state of its members outside of the dojos. It was enough for probable cause, but not damnable. Therefore, all they needed to do was get rid of the offending materials inside the dojos, relocate them to the middle of nowhere, and claim the members had gone under monastic ascetic training- which they had. That's precisely what they did.

Ariano had enough foresight to plan two steps ahead.

Central Committee to elect new Supreme Chairman, FPC discusses constitutional amendment to abolish term limits

Now that the last term of Supreme Chairman Stahitmao is coming to an end, the Central Committee must elect a new Supreme Chairman. Currently there are two major contenders for the successor role. The first possible candidate is Vice Chairman Anton Zee, who wishes to continue the line set by Supreme Chairman Stahitmao. He also wishes to implement broad economic reforms moving to a more liberal model. He is contested by upcoming candidate and current Minister of State Security Greta Tuyning who seems to be backed by the majority of both the Central Committee and the Political Bureau. Tuyning had been considered for the position earlier in 12004, but then it was instead handed to Jotsad Stahitmao, because she was deemed to radical. Jotsad Stahitmao had up until that point kept his head down. He was known to strictly adhere to central leadership and he tried his best to avoid controversy. This made him an appealing candidate for Supreme Chairman to the central committee as the ambitions of previous leadership had left traumatic scars. However now that Supreme Chairman Stahitmao has been building up a personality cult himself and has put through some big reforms this opinion has changed.

The biggest obstacle to Stahitmao has been the old guard of the Party, who have continuously opposed Stahitmao's anti-corruption policies. Both Stahitmao and Vice Chairman Zee have fallen out of favor with the majority of the Old Guard, while Tuyning who has no intention of combatting corruption has gained their support. She has also called for a more radical approach and wishes to pursue a more isolationist foreign policy where the Ferwerter Union only aligns itself with ideological allies. She wants an extension of the security apparatus and a return to an economy dominated by state-owned companies to reduce wealth inequality and increase control over the economy. She wishes to return the Controlist Ferwerter Union to its old roots and has conjured up nostalgia for the old times when the Ferwerter Union had been free from foreign influence. This has made her very favorable among the older generation of Party members.

A third possibility is the abolishment of term limits.
