No one's being rude to you. You were the one who called the region boring and inactive. We are a geopolitical roleplaying region, not a sports roleplaying region. We do have occasional sports events, but they are held infrequently compared to what you seem to be looking for. Exclusively sports roleplaying regions do exist, as does the NS Sports forum. They may be a better fit for the type of experience you are looking for.

Unfortunately we're not a region that focuses on sports. As mentioned, we prefer geopolitics. We do sports roleplays, but only a few times a year. It's an interest, but not the main interest.
If you're looking for a region that really looks at sports and does it very often, I don't think we're the region for you. I'm sorry. Maybe if you look through NSSports as advised, you will find a region that will work well for you - one that does sports more often. There are over 26,000 regions in the game - you don't need to only choose between this region and the CCA. We are not a sports centered region, I am sorry to tell you, I don't think you'll find a lasting or interesting home here.

That depends on what you want in terms of neighbours, climate, coastlines, and so on. Unless things have been changed recently, while I wasn't very active, the map is on a world that -- although with differently-shaped lands -- is basically an "Earth" as far as astronomical location & orbits, size, & so on, are concerned. The equator runs across the centre of the map, while the upper & lower edges are a bit short of the poles (maybe at the Arctic & Antarctic Circles), although the distribution of lands & waters means that it doesn't have polar ice-caps and the water can circulate (carrying heat) more easily: This in turn means that the sub-polar regions are warmer on average than on RL Earth, and the air carries more moisture inland so that we have more woodlands and less deserts. The default ecosystems (Your nation can have an "anomalous" one, if you want, although of course there would probably be some "leakage" of species around the edges...) for the continents are discussed in a section of our forum, @ https://idugov.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?fid=5.

Hey Bears Armed how long do you suppose it will take for my map claim to be approved? I sent in my application a few days ago. It seems to me that you would know these things.
