Also wanted to add something to the US in WW2 discussion: The effort of the US in ww2 are a bit difficult to compare to those of the Soviets, considering that they were in completely different situations

One couldn't be there without the other: The Red army kicked the Nazis *sses at the eastern front, while the Americans defeated the fascists in Italy. Ofc, the US didn't send as many troops as the USSR, but that doesn't mean that they did nothing

Tbh I think Americans have no idea how bad it would be for the US to leave NATO.
I personally think that at this point, a European army needs to be built. The US has shown itself as a more and more unreliable partner, and I think that Europe can no longer just rely on the hope that the US will help in a conflict.

The US isn’t working, it might split up within my lifetime.

Regional Event Program

The Home Office is active in hosting a wide range of events and activities. Currently, there are plans for Monthly Events and Yearly Events. Furthermore, if you are organizing an event and you deem it to be of regional interest, contact us as we can sponsor it officially. To know more, read here the official regulations about event's sponsorship.

The Home Office plans to host a Writing Contest, around September-October, and a Flag Contest, around February-March, each year. Furthermore, a casual event (es. a Photography contest or Sporting Week) will be held in December. If you want to know more, feel free to contact Regnum Italiae or Slavatania.

Monthly Events

Monthly events will be arranged for and on the Eurocord Discord Server under the egis of the Home Office. Either a Trivia & Game Nights or a Debate Nights will be hosted. More will be planned and possibly added in the future. All events will take place exclusively on weekends. Once an event is scheduled, this page will be updated with the relative information. Posts on the RMB and an announcement on Eurocord will make sure no one miss it.

How To Get Involved

Please contact Regnum Italiae with why you believe you would be a good match for the Home Office and what your prior qualifications are if you are interested in hosting some of the Debates or assisting with Trivia and Game Nights. Participation to the event itself is free fo all and there is no need to sign up.

How Does Trivia & Game Nights Work?

Our regional discord server will host trivia and game nights. Two people will be hosting these events. For this, various sites and platforms will be used.

• For the Trivia Component:

1. Kahoot.

2. and...

3. Quizizz.

• For the Game Component:

1. Among Us.

2. and...

3. GimKit.

How Do Debate Nights Work?

Once again, our regional discord server will host these debates. These debates will be hosted by one person. It will be done in a way similar to that of the Election Debates. To spread out the debates, several themes and questions will be divided into distinct parts. Participants or the general public can ask additional questions and bring up other topics.

• Examples of Debate Topics:

1. All people should have the right to own guns.

2. The death penalty should be abolished.

3. Human cloning should be legalized.

4. All drugs should be legalized.

5. Animal testing should be banned.

6. Juveniles should be tried and treated as adults.

7. Climate change is the greatest threat facing humanity today.

8. And so on...

I disagree with the European army part, but yeah Europe needs to form a proper defensive alliance together. Idk how much it is discussed in other European countries, but here in DK we discuss what we should do given how the US has become unpredictable. And when the leading actor that has for decades decided how your defence and security policy should look like is being this unpredictable and the growing sentiment is "leave Europe!!!11," we gotta look for alternatives. A part of me hopes that by banding together here in Europe we limit the US' grip and influence and hopefully the next time a Middle Eastern country has to be bombed, we can critically think about it without pressure from Washington.

Although, given the conflict in Ukraine, the US has increased its troop count in Europe so the status quo is unlikely to change in the foreseeable future.

Update: The Trivia component will be hosted by me on Kahoot. Your screen will display the questions and answers. You are free to make up your own names as long as you inform us of them on Discord so that we can give rewards to the top five people. Trivia will be made up of random questions from World History.

Had a really weird dream that someone flooded the region with puppets in order to sway the election in my favor.

Both relieved and disappointed to see thats not the case.
