Executive Office of the Delegate

Fellow North Pacificans,

The state of our region is revitalised.

Over the past 11 months, I have had the distinct honour of serving as your Delegate, and last week, you once again put your overwhelming trust in my leadership. Thank you for this renewed mandate. I extend my sincere congratulations to Vice Delegate Islandwalk and Speaker Ayuzhhhhh on their respective victories. I look forward to working with you two in my final consecutive term as Delegate. This election saw something unique, namely the first time in our history that an incumbent Delegate ran for a third consecutive term. We’ve entered uncharted territory when it comes to consistent leadership and direction. Long delegacies also come with risks, for example, the risk that the Delegate burns out or stagnation occurs in the executive due to uninspiring leadership. I’m confident that this will not happen during my third term in office. It feels a bit ironic to say that, given how late this address is. I will explain that a little bit: I’ve been able to largely control my mental health for 2 years, but basically my entire life. That being said, last week everything that had been building up for all those years culminated into one huge crash out that I was stuck in for several days. Terrible timing, I know. I won’t delve into much detail here, but rest assured that my cabinet was informed and that I am okay. No need to worry about little ol’ me.

The work that my government has done has changed the trajectory of this region for the next few years. We have stabilised our endorsements despite the summer slump, we have created a pipeline for newer players to get involved in the regional government, we are in the process of the largest revitalisation and reform effort of the North Pacific Army in its history, we have consistent activity in the executive thanks to a well-rounded cabinet and an excellent executive staff, and we have enjoyed the greatest amount of stability in regional direction ever. These efforts will continue, will be enhanced and will be fought for even more in the Halsoni III administration. I believe that we can be proud of what we have achieved so far. It is through the sheer determination of all North Pacificans that we are where we are, building up our region to reclaim our position at the top that we lost all those years ago. When it comes to sheer numbers, TNP cannot be beaten. We have the liveliest, yet still one of the most orderly, RMB communities of all the Feeders. We carried a WA Secretariat candidate across the finish line, and our dispatches consistently take the top spot. Why is that, you may ask? Because The North Pacific is the largest, most engaged feeder in the world. An achievement that we as a region should and can be proud of. A lot of regions run on just a few people carrying the load. Not us. We are a team of over 50 people that run the government, and that does not even include the legislative or judicial branches. Size does matter in NationStates, and we take the crown on that front.

Over the course of my Delegacy, I’ve had the great honour of employing talented members of our region as members of my cabinet. The majority of my cabinet are first-time ministers as well because I’ve made my single most important goal as Delegate to be lifting up aspiring talent and giving the new guy a shot when others doubted them. That is the North Pacifican Dream. It’s not a vague concept; it’s the core that this region is built on. The region of second chances, the region where anyone can make it, no matter where they come from or what their past might be. I hope this paragraph can serve as a call to those who may feel uninspired or scared to take that leap of faith and make themselves known to the regional leadership. We notice when you make an effort or go the extra mile. Not only is it deeply appreciated, but it’s also taken into consideration when making decisions regarding regional leadership in the future.

Without further ado, I proudly present to you the Executive Council and other government officials of The North Pacific. They will be instrumental in executing our vision for the future of the North.

Chief of Staff - Islandwalk
Voop is a more recent addition to the government, and what an addition he is. He’s competently served as my Minister of World Assembly Affairs and, since the last cabinet shuffle, Chief of Staff. He has been incredibly important in executing our plans in the World Assembly, even winning a seat on the WA Secretariat just a few weeks ago. I have no doubt that his assistance in both the internal and external functions of TNP will yield great results.

Minister of Foreign Affairs - Kaschovia
Kasch has served as an excellent advisor for some time now, and in his role as Foreign Minister, he has helped me guide the region’s foreign policy in the right direction. I look forward to working with him on our new identity and ideology, and I’m certain that this term will be even more productive on the FA front than the last two have been.

Minister of Military Affairs - The Grand Dolphin
Military Affairs is a tricky ministry; the NPA is a tricky community. That is why I am once again reappointing Cretox to lead the North’s army to victory. We’ve already seen what he can do in this area, and I look forward to seeing what more he’ll bring us. Not only has he been effective in military gameplay, but he has also greatly assisted in the advancement of TNP’s interests in the World Assembly. He’ll be a great asset to this government this term, and I know he’ll do a fantastic job.

Minister of World Assembly Affairs - Picairn
Picairn made his grand return not so long ago, and what a return it was. He has effectively strengthened our WAA ministry and is continuing the great work that we provide to the world through our voting recommendations. He has also diligently executed my agenda when it comes to democratic participation through forum votes, while at the same time understanding when foreign policy takes the lead. He understands that balance like no other, and I’m sure we’ll be seeing great things from him both in this term and in the future.

Minister of Integration - Treekidistan
Integration is all about consistency. The plans for a ministry like this are always vague and hard to execute, but I’ve been very impressed by Treek’s ability to grab the idea and turn it into something concrete. The work that the Frontliners have been doing is more than noticeable, and his management of manual recruitment and resource review is truly commendable. He continues to innovate in the Cards Revival Committee, and his passion for this ministry cannot be put into question. He’ll be doing great work this term, and I look forward to working with him on that.

Minister of Culture - Art Landia
Everything is culture, and Arty has an excellent vision for it. He has made sure that our cultural agenda gets executed thoroughly and consistently. Under his leadership, we’ve seen both small-time events and large, multi-week bangers. We’ve got a lot of juice for this term with multiple large events and celebration days coming up, and I know that we’ll have a great time with Arty at the helm of this fantastic ministry.

Minister of Communications - Isenoka
Comms is near and dear to my heart. It’s where I started my career in cabinet after all. I cannot imagine a better person to carry on that vision that we had all those years ago, when this ministry was reintroduced, than Isenoka. His creative thought and beautiful style of writing captivate the entire world. With our new focus on NBS content, I know that he’s not going to sit still for a minute and will consistently be creating opportunities for a broadcast hosting a wide array of panellists and topics. This will be awesome for Comms, and I’m looking forward to seeing it come to fruition.

For my single non-cabinet official, I am once again reappointing Ethnon as Lead Gameside Advocate. This team of people under his management has excelled in moderating our RMB and properly introducing new players to real North Pacifican culture, rum included. The work done by him and his diligent team already has a great impact on our gameside community, and I’m so glad that this government once again has such great representation on that stage.

Government officials, you already took your oaths, so thank you for that.

The North Pacific is in a league of its own. With this excellent team and the entire region backing my agenda, I am confident that this term will mark yet another great chapter in our history. We’ve created opportunities wherever we go, and under my leadership, we have moulded the executive branch into a self-functioning machine that churns out content and productivity. To those who plan to stand in our way, I tell you one thing: get off the tracks while you still can because the TNP hype train does not have brakes. We will crush our opposition, and we will reclaim our rightful place in the GP hierarchy as we’ve done before.

The North rises again. Winter is coming.
