The People's Democratic Empire of Tyramon is a titanic, efficient nation, ruled by Revolutionary Council with an iron fist, and notable for its ubiquitous missile silos, public floggings, and punitive income tax rates. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless, devout population of 13.67 billion Tyramonians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The medium-sized, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government is effectively ruled by the Department of Defense, with Environment and International Aid not funded at all. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Fort Domination. The average income tax rate is 99.2%.

The powerhouse Tyramonian economy, worth a remarkable 7,452 trillion Golden Seashells a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is an enormous, deeply entrenched, broadly diversified black market in Arms Manufacturing and Information Technology. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is a breathtaking 545,144 Golden Seashells, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.0 times as much as the poorest.

Squeaky high prepubescent voices recite the patriotic poem "Hail to The Leader!" before each meal, citizens live in superstitious fear of the mysterious glowing clouds that float over Tyramon, Revolutionary Council's Dreadnought-class tankbuster limousine is said to have more ammunition than the entire Brancalandian Army, and the government is hungry to spread communism beyond the nation's borders. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, despite the fact that it is difficult to make it through a day without breaking one of the country's many laws. Tyramon's national animal is the Viper Wolf, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its national religion is Divinity of the Revolution.

Tyramon is ranked 411th in the world and 1st in Cape of Good Hope for Largest Black Market, with 12,500 trillion Standard Monetary Units.
