The Colony of The Absolution is a massive, orderly nation, renowned for its burgeoning alien population. The hard-working, cynical population of 1.258 billion Absolutionians enjoy great individual freedoms in everything except elections, which, where they exist at all, are populist shams for a dictatorship government that has no intention of ever giving up power.

The relatively small, pro-business, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defense, and Healthcare. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 15.1%.

The very strong Absolutionian economy, worth 62.1 trillion starcoins a year, is led by the Pizza Delivery industry, with major contributions from Automobile Manufacturing, Trout Farming, and Woodchip Exports. Average income is 49,369 starcoins, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 159,557 per year while the poor average 11,544, a ratio of 13.8 to 1.

Crime is a problem. The Absolution's national animal is the alien, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.

The Absolution is ranked 60,205^th in the world and 8^th in The Forge for Largest Insurance Industry, scoring 3,526.41 on the Risk Expulsion Effectiveness Rating.
